Can This Happen With A Section

i had a section 3 weeks ago, and my uterus hasnt gone down properly, its still at my belly button. i have a uterine infction, with symptoms like #(sorry for graphics) foul smelling green discharge. however imnot bleeding. im being booked for a scan t see if i have anything retained in my uterus causing the problem. if so i need a d&c. can this happen with a section, i thought they would clear you out completely?

Noodle, green discharge is not okay usually. I don't know why so many women have infections and complications and the doctors just treat it like one of those things. It definately sounds like retained placental fragments (they pull that out by hand during the c) or a sponge left inside you. That could be dangerous and i am glad you are following through. Yes, this is one of the common complications of a c-section and a good reason for those contemplating an elective one to think about. Good luck and let us know.
