Had My C Section Not Bad At All

I had my planned c section on the 21st, and my beautiful daughter was born at 8:01 am. I just wanted to let anyone who was worried about getting a c/s that I had a good experience. I insisted on general anesthesia, and they gave me it. I awoke 15-20 min. later and felt groggy but aware of what was going on. I was not really in any pain. I saw my daughter 5 min later in the nursery, and got to hold her for a while. Then they wanted to do a few tests on her and they took me to my room. My husband saw her right after she was born and when they took her to the nursery. He was not allowed int he delivery room as I had general anesthesia. When I got to my room the brought her back in about 15-20 min and from there she was allowed to be with me as much as I wanted. As for pain, I had morphine the first day and really felt no pain. I had a catheter, which I didn't really like, but it was not a big deal. The second day I was given percoset and advil, (I had an allergic reaction to morphine). As long as I took the pain medicine I felt pretty good. I feed my daughter and held her. I never got sick to my stomach, and even when they asked me to try to get out of bed, it wasn't that bad. I just took it slow and I was ok. The worst part was the third day I had alot of gas in my abdomin, and that really was uncomfortable, but the more I moved around the better it got. I went home on the third day, and I was moving around really well. By the 5th-6th day I was pretty much doing everything I needed to do, of course being carefull and using common sense! I was driving by the 7th day. It has been a week and 4 days and I cleaned my whole house today, and I was at the mall yesterday. So for all the doomsday predictions I got about c/s, here is a positive experience. After 9 long months of a hard pregnancy, this was a piece of cake!! Good luck to all!
