Depends on your circ_mstances and how well you do. I had a C 3 weeks ago and it was done on a Wednesday and I came home on Friday. Most insurances will cover cost for 3 days.

thanks for that info im having one on june 12 and hate the thought of staying in hosp more than the thought of a c section i a__sume you are not allowed to have a pre-med to calm nerves do you know ? thank you for your reply and hope you are recovering well and that baby is well

here in canada it is usually between 2-3 days but if you have some complications they can hold you from 3-5 days. with my 1st I was in the hospital for 2/3 days, onyl 2 with my 2nd, and 3 days with my 3rd and they said if I wanted I could stay an extra day because I had some problems with swelling and the stables (I didnt i wanted to go home and see my brats :) ) This section I am only planning on 3 days at the VERY most.

Hi crazybaby,I had my c-section on the sunday and i went home on the wednesday,i think the time u spend in hospital after your c-section depends on how well u are healing (if that makes sense),i was supposed to be in hosp til the thursday but was told i could go home a lil earlier as my scar was healing really well.Gd luck :)

With my oldest I went in on Friday morning and left the next Tuesday afternoon. But that was because Friday from the a.m. to just after midnight Saturday morning I was in labor... then I had an emergency c-section and the rest was recovery time. #s 2 and 3 were both scheduled c-sections and I went in on a Thursday morning and came home Sunday afternoon with each of them.

Hi Crazybaby, I am from australia and over here (in my hospital anyway) for a c-section they recommend you stay for 5-7 days after a c-section, but they let you go after 48 hours if you wish, I had our daughter on tuesday morning and was home by friday morning, but if I wanted I probably could have come home on thursday afternoon as I recovered extremely well and fast

At both hospitals I had c-sections at, they said 3 days, not counting c-section day...so 4 total.

My insurance and hospital policy is 3 nights 4 days. I would call your insurance and hospital to find out.

thanks for all the replies, im going to ask to come out asap but i suppose i will see how things are with the baby and me ,those hospital beds are SO hard and uncomfy and they always keep those lights on ! cheers
