i had a shot to prevent getting pregnant for 3 monts but im not sure if it works , also i've been wondring how long i hav to wait bfor i could start having s_x w/ my husband again

When I had my c-section, the doctor told me to wait 6 weeks to have s_x. I didn't...we waited about 10 days. It wasn't the greatest feeling in the world, but nothing bad happened because of it. The shot that lasts for three months, that's Depo-Provera, and it's extremely effective. The only problem some people have with it is side effects, like weight gain or periods that don't stop (I had that). One of my friends was on depo and she loved it because she didn't get periods anymore.
