I must have a planned c-section and I am terrified of the epidural, I have heard that you can feel numbness up to your neck including you arms and hands, is this true?

I had an unplanned c-section and with my epidural I was numb from just above my waist down. It felt really odd but it didn't bother me at all.

I was numb from about belly b___ton down. Its fine....really weird feeling once they swing your legs over to lay you down. hang in there. Only thing you feel is a lot of pressure when they are trying to take the baby out

With my first, I had a spinal and I was numb to the armpits. With my second, I had an epidural and it was much better. I was able to lie down on my own (with the spinal I was numb just about instantly) and the doctor was able to control how high the numbness went.
