i personally dont use maxi pads at all, but there is nothing good about the scented ones so dont get too excited, they are not healthy for you.

kuhaaica...the reason overweight women sometimes have different c-section experiences is because if you're overweight enough you have a "roll" that hangs over the incision area, almost sealing it shut, trapping moisture in and air out. That's why there's the discussion here about keeping it dry. I didn't have an infection with either of my c-sections, but I got a terrible rash over the incision both times. The only way I could get rid of it was to spend hours a day lying on my back, holding my tummy out of the way so that the incision could dry, then cover it with a pad, and repeat every couple of hours (not to gross you out, just explaining what's different when you're larger)
