Scar Tissue Pulling

I'm pregnant with my second child and have recently had a spotting of blood and serious pain in my pelvic area. Sometimes the pain is so bad I can barely walk. The doctor won't see me and seems to think that it is just tissue pulling from my first c-section. Has anyone else had this problem or heard of this happening?

I am having this problem now. I am 11wk 3 days. I have an appointment with my doctor 2 days. My pelvis is so sore and after having intercourse one day I had reddish brown discharge. I am so concerned. After I speak with my doctor I will post something.

CEllerd, if your doctor won't take your complaints seriously, find one who will. Your doctor has a lot of training, but he doesn't have to live with the pain you're having, and you do. Another thing you could do is go to the emergency room when you have the pain. Your doctor or the doctor who's on call will have to see you then. I have a hernia from my first c-section and am 17 weeks pregnant. I have a lot of scar tissue that I can feel in my abomen, and it has become more prominent in the last couple of weeks, but I'm not having any spotting or severe pain. How far along are you? Have you had an ultrasound?

I am having the exact same problem right now....(pregnant with second child after a c-section)...my doctor said the same thing as yours..... sometimes the pain is so intense I almost fall to the floor when I stand up. I barely feel the pain though when I am sitting. I actually went to the hospital today I was so concerned about it and they told me the same thing-that it is scar tissue. The nurse said that as the baby grows more (I am at 22 weeks), the pain will lessen as the tissue breaks. I sure hope so....I can't deal with this pain for 4 more months....plus it is soo hard chasing my two year old around in this condition! Feel free to email me: daniellembyrd@hotmail.com I would like to talk to other people with this same problem! Good luck!

Oh my, I had that when I was pregnant with my second, after my first section. I actually went to the emergency room, I could barely walk, They did an exam and said nothing was wrong with me. Can scar tissue really hurt that much? I never knew what it was until you girls are saying this.

I haven't had my hernia repaired. I will have it repaired when I have my baby. I'm having my tubes tied at the same time. The only problem I'm having at this point is a burning pain where the actual hernia is when I stand for a long time (like I do some days at work). Sometimes the burning pain is accompanied by a feeling of fullness in the v____a. My OB said that he could do the hernia repair when I have this c-section.

HELLO ALL, IM NOT SURE IF ANYONE ELSE IS DEALING WITH THE SAME, I DELIVERED DEC 29 04 C SECTION, AND MY PERIODS SINCE ARE EXTREMELY PAINFUL FOR A FEW DAYS.WAY WORSE THAN IVE EVER EXPIERENCED. ALSO MY INCESION CONSTANTLY HURTS AND BURNS, ITS BEEN ALMOST 5 MONTHS!! IS ANYONE EXPIERENCING EXTREMELY PAINFUL PERIODS?

Well, I am sceduled to have my c-section on the 24th of May. I have been dealing with this awful pain off and on since March. It is very hard to chase my 18 month old around. I have talked to the doctor about the pain every visit since March and they keep shrugging me off. I have not had an ultrasound since my 20 week appointment. The doctor just tells me it's scar tissue and to drink lots of water to help with the additional cramping that has begun. I am very worried that there is something wrong with my baby. I have an appointment tomorrow, but i bet they will make me wait 4 more days to deliver. I've made it this far. I will tell you it has been very frustrating and i've even broken down in tears due to the pain and frustration. Wish me luck getting through these last few days. I've made it this far, I hope all of you make it too.

I'm having the same discomforts, without the bleeding. My doctor told me the same thing,so I just switched doctors. I can't stand it when doc's seem to think they know so much just because they went off to school for 8 years! It's our body and I think that we would know a lot more about ourselves than a stranger would (doctors)!!!!

I had alot of pelvic pain with my daughter through the hole pregnancy. But my doctor told me is was all the ligiments in my pelvic area pulling due to the pregnancy. But like one of the girls said....find a doctor who is going to listen to you and help you with your concern. Its your body and your baby! Just remember that!
