Scheduled Cesarean Earlier

h__lo ladies,I laughed when I saw the posts about how you know sb had a cesarean :) anyway it's good to know others feel like you. My question is,I know a scheduled cesarean is done early ,but how much early? like a week,ten days? tell me if you have a similar experience. Thank you!

Mine was scheduled at 39 weeks. My OB said they cannot schedule it any earlier. (but my water broke at 38 weeks so I never made it to my scheduled date!)

My oldest son was born late (41 weeks, 6 days) by emergency c-section after a long failure to progress labor. My 2nd (daughter) was born 3 years ago. At that time they would go up to 10 days before the scheduled due date... trying to avoid labor... so she was scheduled 10 days before her due date. I got pregnant with my 3rd (son) when she was only 8 months old and in that short amount of time my OBGYN practice changed their poicy and wouldn't do a scheduled one before 39 weeks (unless, of course, there was a medical necessity)... so my son was born 3 days before his due date.

my first was immediate because i was in active labour for 33 hours and needed a csection because i couldnt take it anymore. with my 2nd i started bleeding and he ws an emergency, i believe i had to wait till the following morning. with my 3rd i scheduled mine 2 weeks before EDD and the drs wont talk csection any earlier where im from, van city canada.

my 3rd was at 38 weeks, and my 4th was 9 days early.
