ok, i was told by my doctor at my 2 week apt. that we didnt have to wait to have s_x since i didnt deliver va___ally. well, when we did try, we used a condom for the first time ever. (i was on the pill before, we never thought to buy condoms..) i think we got some of those ribbed ones... anyhow, it HURT. a lot. it felt like something was tearing.. but after a bit, it didnt hurt anymore. we have only gotten time to ourselves 3 times so far, but each time it starts off hurting. could it be the condom (thats what i was thinking) or something else? was my doctor wrong and we should wait?

Maybe you're not wet enough...after you have a baby, your hormones are changing a lot and sometimes your body doesn't produce enough natural lubrication. Personally, I found ribbed condoms to be irritating...maybe you could try plain ones. My husband and I tried just about every condom they make...durex seemed the most comfortable for both of us.

Don't try studded either...they were worse for me. My sister says the ones with nonoxnyl-9 are really irritating to her too.

My husband and I used condoms for 3 years between kids...I can't take the pill, and depo did bad things to me. We had two condoms break, but didn't get pregnant from that. The one really bad thing about condoms is that after a while it starts feeling like it takes some of the intimacy out of s_x...and besides, they don't apply themselves when you're drunk...that's how we got our second beautiful daughter.

My doctor said to wait for approximately 6 weeks after my c-section because I had major surgery. I tried a bit earlier and it hurt like hell. i waited until I had healed inside from the surgical cutting and it got better slowly. I don't think I ever heard of anyone being told that they could have s_x at 2 weeks either birth method. Might want to wait until your cerivix is closed up so you don't get an infection, I think your internal st_tches need more time to heal too.
