You aren't supposed to have s_x until you get the all-clear from your physician. I wouldn't do it until you've spoken to your OB. My guess is that your dr will want you to wait on s_x until at least six weeks post partum, but you should call the office and find out for sure before proceeding.

I'm suprised you still have staples in...they usually take them out before you leave the hospital. Actually, you might call and ask your doctor when you're getting the staples out, because your skin can start to grow over them. As far as s_x, I had s_x 10 days after my first c-section (I'd had the staples out at 5 days) and it wasn't that comfortable, because I still had some pain from the incision. I waited a little longer after my second c-section (3 weeks) and it was a lot more comfortable. Make sure you use birth control, though...you can get pregnant again right away.

Oh, I forgot to tell you...the skin incision is closed with staples, all the inner incisions are closed with st_tches that dissolve after you have healed.

I never hd staples-mine was closed with those that dissolve all the way to the surface.

I have had 3 c-sect. and have never had the staples removed at the hospital. They have all ben removed about a week after in the doctors office. I have never even thought about having s_x that soon after having a c-sect.. Usually the doctor will tell you to wait until 6 weeks.
