Trying To Get Pg After C Section

hi is there anyone else wanting or trying to get pregnant after a c section,or anyone who did, my dd is now 8 weeks and i has a c section for her (my second c section) i saw my doctor today and she said she didnt see why i shouldnt start trying to get pg now ,i thought it was a bit early i was going to leave aleast 5 months just wondered if anyone was in the same boat, im 43 so i need to not hang about

If your dr said so then I guess, but my dr has always told me 1YEAR. With this last one when i wanted to get pregnant with my 4th he told 18 months between my 3rd and 4th. I got pregnant after 4 years! I am now 14 weeks. 8 weeks seems very early to me, unless he thinks its going to take awhile for you to get pregnant, but what if it happened first try. I'd get a second opinion to be safe. good luck.

Hi - I was 36 with my first boy, a c-section, and no lie, I got pregnant the first time we resumed s_x a couple months later. It all went fine with number 2, and I was considered high risk as I was over 35, have hypothyroidism and had preeclampsia with number 1. I did have a second c-section and it went very smoothly. My boys' birthdays are 1 year and 10 days apart - "Irish twins." I'm now 39 and racing the clock like you to have #3 - been trying since number 2 turned 3 months; not a cycle to lose, you know? The only thing I'd be worried about is the actual having s_x that early after your c - sounds painful to me!

Hm, I got pregnant the second time 4 months after my first and my doctor wasn't concerned at all. Just as with anyone who had a c-section they preferred to schedule a second one a week before the due date.

Hey all. I had a c section June 14th and my doctor told me to wait 3 months. We started ttc 2 days ago. Yaaa. Hopefully we will be preggie by the end of September. :)

Hello Kay101, how did your pregnancy go, are you still preggie? Did your doctor have any concerns at all? Mmm, did you incision hurt as your uterus and stomach grew?
