why not try to have your baby naturally? Once you hve a baby by c-section the likelyhood that your future pregnancies would be delivered by section is greater. However, a 10 lb baby is a big baby. If for any reason you are unable to have a v____al birth you might need an emergency section. A planned c-section definately has less risk. It's tough to decide, ask your doctor a lot of questions and see how it goes. Prayer will help. Good luck with everything.

OMG I would run for the OR so fast!!! lol I was scared of having a regular sized baby naturally! Thankfully my Peanut felt my fears and lounged sideways so I had to have a c-section. What a good baby!! lol I had no problems with recovery. Very little pain ( I took T#3 twice in one day when I overdid it), no gas, could walk up and down stairs with no problems as well. I though I might have trouble because I am overweight (253 when I gave birth) and 34 but no such trouble.

You can have your doc do a pelvic exam exray to see if the baby will be able to fit through they do this where I live if they are unsure i had a Csection as my daughter turned when coming down and got stuck on my pelvis Good luck

You should try naturally. Even with ultrasounds and everything else, they can't accurately predict your baby's weight. My doctor told me my son would weigh over 10 pounds. He was 8 pounds and 3 ounces when he was born. Just be sure that your hospital has the ability to perform an emergency c-section JUST IN CASE. Your body is made to give birth, but it never hurts to have a back-up plan.
