Hi everyone- i had a c-section on the 28/01/07-last sunday. believe it or not the bleeding has actuallt stopped and i was wondering if its safe to have s_x earlier than the usual 6 week wait (assuming that the six weeks also applies to c-sections) Anyone have an idea?

I had my c-section Jan 25th. The bleeding for me has also stopped now for about 5 days. My dr told me to wait 6 weeks b/c the uterus needs time to heal. Introducing a p___s or even a tampon can potentially cause a uterine infection and could land you in the hospital with a hysterectomy. I have heard some dr's gave the green light after 4 weeks, though. I'm waiting the full 6 weeks b/c I plan on having another baby and don't want a hysterectomy. Good luck!

I didnt wait the recommended 6 weeks. We waited about 3 weeks until we engaged in intercourse again.

We had s_x about 2 weeks after but, then we waited another week or two to start having it more regularly...we usually have s_x about twice a week sometimes more sometimes less....just depends...but, the first time i had s_x after my c section it was about 2 weeks after...and didn't have any problems...a little sore but, not too bad at all.

We waited 5wks - couldn't wait any longer. You will still have v____al dryness like any other pp women due to the hormone flucations.
