I am 26 years, 5 feet 2in and weight approx 195Lbs. I am 3 months pregnant and my weight has become my nightmare. I am worried that i might have either a complicated delivery or might need a cesarean. I want to know if it is healthy for me to loose weight at this stage.... kindly help......

You should ask your doctor. When I got pregnant, I was 245, and my body went into super metabolism mode, and I dropped to 215 in 3 months. The doctor told me this was fine, and my daughter is perfectly normal. Im now 2 weeks pp, and I weigh 197...

Hello AnytimeLittleone. I did get advice from my doc to avoid oily food, sweets and drink 1/2 lt skimmed milk everyday. I have heard from friends that obese women usually have tough time during delivery. Is waterdelivery a relief for obese women?? i would want to know...Thank you

My delivery went super quick, 5 hours from start to finish, so dont listen to anything anyone says about your pregnancy or labour... the only person you need to listen to if your doctor. Towards the end of my pregnancy, my joints were really sore, and found that the jacuzzi tub and pool really helped them, so Im a__suming it would help a lot during labour!

This is a related question!! I am 22 and TTC. I am 5'4 and weight approx 220. Do you all think it will be more difficult for me to conceive because of my weight? I have a regular 25 day cycle that never fails!! Thanks for your input and thoughts!

Hello krissy, It would be better for you to first calculate your BMI (Body Ma__s Index) and know how much of excess weight you are carrying. In case you loose the extra weight, it should not be hard to conceive. I am obese and it did take me around 8months to conceive. I did loose abt 8 pounds before i got pregnant. Take care

Hi Krissy, I am 5'6 and have bounced between 210 and as high as 250 for years. I have never had a problem getting pregnant. My pregnancies were healthy, good blood pressure, no gestational diabetes and happy healthy baby. The only problem I encountered was back pain because of the extra weight that I didn't need to throw on. BUT I only gained 15 lbs on average and tended to weigh less after child birth then I did pre-pregnancy. Good Luck!!!
