I had a huge appet_te the first 8 weeks. I ate huge meals almost every 2 hours and snacked in between. I was never satisfied and oddly enough I actually lost 3 pounds. But now im 12 weeks and im eating normal again. I eat hashbrowns for breakfast every morning. snack of fruit or candy at work, drink water, lots of subway for lunch, and dinner. Usually a meat, veggie, and a starch. Actually I have bad eating habits. I eat veggies maybe twice a week. I think im gonna start making veggie drinks with the juice extractor so I can make up for the loss of nutrients. I dont eat alot of junk though. I hate veggies. I basically eat as healthy as possible without veggies. I dont eat anything dairy or drink milk, no microwave foods, no canned foods. Basically if it is man made I avoid it. Everything must be fresh. Fresh veggies ( when I do eat them ) , fresh herbs, lots of fruit, fresh squeezed fruit juice. nuts & seeds, old fashioned oats, no sodas, chips, . Im hooked on gummy worms though !!!

I am 20 weeks 2 days pg, and have gained 14lbs. My doc seems fine with that. On a normal day I eat BK: bowl of cereal and OJ; snack: apple or piece of whole grain bread w/ PB. lunch; Turkey sand (or some type of sand), and a hand full of baked lays chips. afternoon snack: gla__s of V8 fruit juice, and a little something else. dinner: varies, but normally includes a protein (meat, poultry), and small helping of rice, pasta, etc, and some veggie. A couple days a week I will allow myself something for dessert, but not every night, and on days when I go out to dinner instead of eating at home.....I probably do a little worse eating. I know for a fact I am not overeating b/c I wont let myself get to the point of being stuffed. My body is just putting on the weight it needs. I know my mom gained 25lbs with my sister, and 38lbs with me, and said she did not eat any differently with either child. She swears she actually lost the weight with me allot faster than with my sister. She said she had lost it all within 6 weeks after delivery.......with my sister it took her more like 3 or 4 months. I would not stress too much about weight gain b/c if you honestly can say you are eating healthy (and not overeating OR undereating).....you body is doing what it needs, and it will probably be easy for you to loose afterwards.

hey... well, im 6 weeks pregnant, and i am almost never hungry before 2 pm. (i have wicked morning sickness) when i get the chance to eat (between 2 and 5) i like fruits- oranges and apples, veggies - carrots, snap peas, water cheasnuts. i eat some grain cereal, noodles, rice and whole wheat bread - though i have been sick when looking or thinking about bread. and i take a lot of vitamins... i drink a lot of water and tons of orange juice. i hope my baby is healthy... any other tips? i want my self to be doing everything for that baby!

Be very careful of how you perceive your body. I am bulemic and my obsession started that way. I am now blessed with a child (10 weeks pregnant). I have found that one of the biggest ways to overcome my disease is to love myself and to except the weight gain. I think eating healthy is very importantant, however try not to go overboard. You don't want to exchange places with me. I have a long road ahead. I have been reading books on what to eat on a daily basis and I have been following it religiously. I have already gained 7 pounds, and I am proud to say for the first time. I don't care that much about the weight gain.
