I have heard that pregnant women should avoid TUNA altogether. What have you girls heard about this?

Everyone will say something different. Some women freak out & say OH MY GOD, DON'T EAT FISH! Others will say it's okay to "eat in moderation". I've been eating 1-2 cans of tuna a week. My doctors (I have 3 different ones) say it's okay to eat up to 2 cans of tuna a week. They say that "albacore" tuna should not be consumed though. It is OKAY to eat the "chunk light" tuna, if you're into canned tuna. My mom's friends ate tuna religiously throughout their pregnancies & have full-grown normal, healthy kids.

my doc said its ok to have tuna, but in moderation. i eat it once every few weeks. many types of fish are very healthy to eat during pregnancy. there are lists all over the internet that tell you which ones are safe and which ones aren't, but if your really not sure check with your doc. good luck!

Thanks for the input girls. I think I will just stay away from it altogether since I am not that crazy about it since I got pregnant. xxx
