there has been another report done recently that proved that chocalate made the baby happy as it made the woman happy

Hello...I've heard about that but I'm not too sure if it's actually true or not...I had some chocolate during my pregnancy and I'm now 38 and half weeks pregnant and the doctor says he's already almost 8 pounds. I'm only 5'3. I think the chocolate probably made him fat.

I wonder if that is true also. I ate alot of chocolate during my pregnancy and I had my daughter. She is a total ham and full of personality and extremely happy baby!!!! So maybe it is true.

Hi! I have never really ate chocolat with any of my kids while I was pregnant ,they where happy regardless of what I ate.... they tend to be good natured do to the time I spent after they where born, also reading made them really happy to.

I didn't eat chocolate and have a happy baby as well. That study is the most ridiculous thing on earth.

Also, what is it with you women? You love to bag on research and science when it does not reflect your lifestyle, yet you believe the first thing you hear when it fits your taste? Do you see anything wrong with that?

This is in reference to the comment made that chocolate is a worst stimulant than caffeine an dthat it makes your brain smaller...Chocolate does NOT make your brain smaller, that is pure pseudoscience. My mom ate lots of chocolate during her pregnancies and both my sister and I were found to be "gifted." I have a Ph.D. and my sister (younger) got perfect SATs. Genetics will determine brain size and capacity, chocolate will not affect it (one way or another). Ladies, enjoy your chocolate. I just had a kitkat and I'm 27 wks preggo-yum!

Ladies watch your intake on the fatty substance of chocolate, but yes it does help, I heard on the television, that it's Dark Chocolate, that's the best. You want the least processed ( meaning Dutch process Cocoa is not what you want ) Another hint is you can find some real good pure dark chocolate in health food stores, like organic stuff, yum!

I read this study and ate one piece of dark choclate almost everyday throughout my pregnancy. I have a 3 month old little girl who is the happiest baby, she smiles alot and doesn't cry often.
