Don't feel bad if your not gaining or gaining to much. This is my 3rd pregnancy and each baby is differant. I have found the babies grow in sprits. So you may even gain a lot at once then it levels off. Wait till that 8/9 mths. A pound a week is recommended!Wow! You'll be more worried for your swelling feet and aching back then.Good luck with the babies.

15 weeks, 8 pounds. And I keep worrying that it is too much! This is my second baby and I am still carrying an extra ten pounds from that pregnancy. ARG!! My doctor hasn't said anything about it, though. .

I'm 38 and having my third baby. Started at 108lbs and have gained 15lbs. at 22 weeks. I had two other children-many years ago-and gained 50lbs with each. I eat healthy and have taught aerobics for 18 years. I teach spinning, step, and kickboxing and lift weights 6 days a week and will most likely gain alot this time around as well. Why? Who knows. Everybody's body works differently. My advice to all: eat healthy, exercise moderately and stop worrying about all of this. Let your body take it's natural course and focus on losing any gained weight safely after you have a healthy baby. Good Luck to all!!!

I am 25 weeks and have gained 18lbs - I have been really hard on myself for gaining so much - but...i really believe you gain what you need to gain to support your baby and be healthy - i also eat a half-gallon of ice cream per week - but...hey...i gained 57lbs. with my first son and lost every pound and then some - so...i guess i'll just have to do that again:) good luck to us all:)

30 weeks......25lbs gained! This weight gain thing is totally out of my control. At 24 weeks I had gained 20lbs....then a month later at 28 weeks I had only gained 2 more lbs, so that put me at 22lbs and 28 weeks. Now two weeks later at 30 weeks I have gained 3 more!!. I honestly eat no differently than I did when I only gained 2lbs in a month!! Its so strange how weight gain is with pregnancy. I've learned dont worry about the numbers as long as you are (honestly) eating the right foods, and exercising (moderately). The weight will come off, but if you dont lead a healthy lifestyle while pregnant, and your baby does not get what it needs.......you can never fix or change that later on.

Michelle - March 28
