I am in my 6th week and also did IVF. I just started having night sweats last night. It is nice to know it is a very common occurance but not nice to know that it could last another 8 months.

Wow! I thought I was losing my mind. I couldn't find an answer for this one either. Good to know I'm not the only one!

I have them too. I can controll them with soy. If I eat enough soy I don't have them as much. I drink chocolate soymilk 2 times a day. I just discovered Soy Nog, I love it. I also eat tofu 2-3 times a week. I heard about the soy thing from a friend going through menopause, She said it worked for her, so I tried it. It's easy and it works. I guess it's all just hormonal.

Hello All! I know these posts are kind of old, but I found some info on night sweats. Having a couple of night sweats when my husband and I are trying to have a baby is a sure sign for me that we are pregnant. I am currently 12 weeks pregnant with my second child. I had a few night sweats with my first pregnancy, but they stopped right away. With this pregnancy I have had much more, but I am also taking a anti-nausea medication. The anti-nausea medications are linked to increased night sweats. That said I think night sweats are just a part of pregnancy too. Is anyone else or did anyone else take anti-nausea meds? Thanks

I am 9 weeks pregnant and I am so happy to hear that other women are having the same night sweats as I am. I wake up about 2 times a night and have to change. Thank you to all of the ladies who looked up and actually found information on this. It put my mind at ease and I feel much better now. I also have a question....is anyone else having horrible leg cramps? My legs ache so bad during the night and when I first wake up. It is horrible.

I will be 34 weeks tomorrow and have just started the night sweats this week. Regarding leg cramps.. I've had a few and they are painful. They've stopped since I started eating a banana in the morning and before I go to bed. Look for foods rich in pota__sium, and since pota__sium and iron go hand in hand, keep up with the water intake! It does help!

I am 3 weeks pregnant and I had a dip in my temperature 3 days ago. Since then my temp. has gone back to my post ovulation temp but not up to my pregnacy temp. Does this mean I am going to have a miscarriage?

I haven't really had any night sweats, but I CANNOT stand it if my feet are hot when I am trying to sleep. So what does my body do, it sends all of my high temperature straight down to my feet as soon as my head hits the pillow- it's unbearable. Couple this with my restless leg syndrome which has become ten times worse now that I'm pregnant, and I'm lucky to ever fall asleep. (Hence the 1am post)

I'm in my 9th with terrible nightsweats!!! Eat soybeans (edamame) found in the frozen veggies section at supermarket. Just microwave a few minutes, pop the beans out of the shell enjoy the flavor !!!! And a lot fewer nightsweats!! Don't know how it works but it will...

Ok well I am in my 13th week and the night sweats were destroying me... I can’t sleep and I keep baby’s daddy up all night. So he found me something that might help you as well. It is a Bedfan. I had never seen one and was a little skeptical at first. But it really keeps me sleeping like a baby,.  I found the site and you can see it at Bedfan.com , they market it to menopausal women but it woks for me…Took some time to get adjusted to it but once you get it set, wow.. it is wonderful.

I am 6 weeks pregnant and have had really bad night sweats from the start - this will be my second baby - I have a 10 month old baby girl and didn't have this side effect with her - although did after she was born for about 2 months. Hope this doesn't continue all the way through - pleased to read it's not just me - does anyone know of any other sites that offer information on this - I can't find any literature - is it possible this could be to do with the gender one is pregnant with - having had a girl last time thought this may be indication of a boy this time. Would love to hear if most people having the nightsweats had boys or girls?

NIGHT SWEATS. Lastnight I woke up in a terrible sweat. This is my 2nd pregnancy I am 11 wks 1 day. My last pregnancy I had a m/c at 8 wks and night sweats were very regular during that pregnancy. I'm scared to death that I just had a horrible night sweat lastnight, could this be a sign that I'm going to have another m/c? I know that overheating your body can cause a m/c...sweating like this makes me scared that I am overheating. THANKS!
