I've heard that eating peanut products can increase the liklihood that a baby has a peanut allergy. Has anyone asked their doctor about this?

I asked my doctor and he said it is fine, however, I am a teacher and see a lot of children with peanut allergies. I am staying on the safe side.

Uh, I have a crunchy peanut b___ter sandwich almost EVERY DAY. My doctor said that's fine, I most likely need the protein which is why I gravitate toward it everyday.

surely exposure to peanuts would harden the baby to it...not cause an allergy?
