If you read pregnancy for dummies which is written by 2 doctors they say you can have 1 gla__s of wine per week during your entire pregnancy and it is fine it will not harm the baby!!

I am * weeks pregnant my self and i crave the taste of beer.. i was never a drinker but i do like that cold one on a hot day every now and then... But Today was 34 degrese out and i had a .5% non alcohol beer it taste pretty much the same and there isn't the worry of hurting the baby.....So if u crave the odd drink during pregnancy in my opinion i say go with the non alcohol at least until u have the baby.

Hi Robyn...the latest I've read on the subject is that no amount of alcohol is safe. Although I've got plenty of friends who've had the occaisional wine spritzer (half wine, half gingerale) and their kids have turned out just fine...

I gave birth to a healthy baby girl in 1998-She is an honor roll student and has even been skipped to the next grade. That being said, I drank 4oz of red wine everynight with my dinner. I was very anemic and I was allergic to iron pills. It was "suggested" by my OB/GYN to have red wine only to boost up my iron in my blood. If I were to have another child, I would do the same again. But, at the end of the day it becomes up to the individual and how comfortable they feel with this topic...

I have had a few gla__ses of red wine( drinking one smal gla__s every 2 weeks) because i have heard it builds red blood cells and is good for your baby....but i'm still real precautious. I never over-do it!!!

No. The safe thing to do is not drink during pregnancy.

I used to love red wine also but I won't have any while I'm pregnant. After having a m/c for me it's not worth taking a chance. Good luck to all!

well, I think that as long as your not getting wasted it's not going to harm your child. I drink almost daily, 2-3 gla__ses of wine. Its a personal choice, most dr's will say 1 gla__s now and then is ok, but it wasn't too long ago that they had no idea the affects and they technically still don't. I have 5 siblings and my mother drank and smoked with all of us and we were all born healthy and over 8 lbs.

I have gla__s of red wine every so often, a gla__s of guiness. I don't drink white wine as there is no benefit to it anyway and I don't drink hard liquor. It's all a personal choice but some people are really pa__sionate about it and look down on you for it like they are saints.
