I have been experiencing a lot of pain in my lower abdomen, lower back, va___a, upper thighs, bladder and butt! I know that it is not labor, because it is a constant, sharp pain in the muscles. I feel so miserable. I know it is not a ligament thing, because I have been experiencing that and it is completely different. I did not experience this in my first pregnancy. My question is, is this a normal thing, or something it sounds like I should call my midwife about? I was wondering if it might be a bladder or kidney infection? But if so, why are my muscles hurting? Aaaaaah!

I dunno if it is normal or not but I have pain in all those areas but my bladder they are constant.... it makes me fill miserable... when I act my doc about it he just said it was just the process of being pg.... how far along are you? I would call your midwife just to make sure b/c if it is a kidney infection that can harm the baby! good luck! :)

I went in to the midwife, and she said it was a combination of vulvular varicosities (yuck), ligaments going haywire, probaby pubic bone seperation (yuck), and maybe a bladder infection (yuck). We are waiting for the labs on the last one. Aren't I lucky! At least most of these things are not harmful to my baby. I don't know, with my first I just sailed through with nary a problem. I was thinking about a third, but if this pain gets worse, I don't know about that.
