Burning Sensation In Nipples

Hello. This is an issue I can't find anyone else talking about nevermind a solution. I am 24 weeks along now and have been experiencing a burning sensation in my nipples on and off since around10 weeks. This also happened with my first child, a winter pregnancy and I came to the conclusion that it is related to the cold weather. That theory has since been proven wrong because it is not cold today and it happend a couple of times. It really burns and part of the nipple turns white and feels unusually hard. It is quite embarassing when this happens away from home because how do you explain to people you're not jumping around and letting out slight moaning sounds while rubbing your br___t like crazy for personal enjoyment purposes? Any one else this or any one have suggestions on remedies? Thank you

You sound like you have what I have. It is called Raynaud's Syndrome. Your nipple is in such pain you want to chop it off. It is brought on by cold weather, and in the summer a cool breeze, or anything that gets the nipple "hard". I went to the doctor and he told me this is what it was. He also said most Doctors confuse it with a yeast infection of the nipple. For relief the only thing that works for me is soaking your nipple in very warm to hot water. I either put my nipple in my hand and cup very warm water on it or I end up taking a shower and just letting the hot water take the pain away. Another option is using a hot pack. Place it on your nipple till the pain stops. Showers did work best for me. I know it is a terrible feeling. Hope this helps you out.

You're right about the warm shower being the best relief. I am in search of something to use for relief if this happens while i am away from home. Thanks for the hot pack suggestion. I didn't think of that.
