Put your palm in front of you and poke it quite hard (ish). Its feels like something is doing that to me from the inside. I am 12 weeks pregnant, this has been going on for about 2 weeks. It happens mainly when I'm reaching for something or straining a little and the feeling is normally about an inch either side of my belly button. I thought at 12 weeks the baby is much lower and surely this is too early for kicking. It is definately not wind and feels like nothing I have felt before. Just how you would expect kicking to feel. I am really worried, it makes me jump sometimes!
Please help?!

It may not be too early. I know I officially felt my little one at 14 weeks, but had some of the feelings before and wrote them off as gas. Especially if you are thin and in tune with your body it probably is the baby. Don't doubt yourself! It is awesome to feel your baby. Once you get to the end of the pregnancy it hurts when the baby moves a lot, but that is a different story. Enjoy!

Hi Rachael,
Thank you! I you sure it can be right if it's by my belly b___ton? I thought the baby is so much lower down at 12 weeks?

The top of your uterus is not at your belly b___ton until 20 weeks. The baby is not that high up yet but you never know!

It's possible that you're feeling kicks, but just another thought. Do you think it could be a mild hernia?
