Anyone out there have to deal with Gallstones? I've had this problem for a few years now, but its not frequent and the last one I had was almost one year ago. I had an attack last night, it feels like something is tearing at your insides...I experience gas with the attacks usually, but it brings little relief even when passed. They usually last through the night...and wake me from sleeping. I had an US a few years ago that showed nothing, then I was fine for about a year, then had a couple smaller ones and a big attack, and saw a specialist. THAT was probably 2 years ago, so nothing came of it. I feel like no one will give me a straight diagnosis, when i KNOW what it is...fits the symptoms to a "T", and its so frustrating b/c they are wide spread apart, so its like I never know...not to mention that everyone asks if certain foods irriate it...well, I ate a sandwhich yesterday (with cold cuts), and everything else I ate was bland...not to mention I eat every kind of food all the time!!!! Indian, Thai, Italian...etc etc....so I dont' know how to determine it???? Anyone else dealing with these lovely things??

OMG... I got gallstones when I was preg with my first. Excuse me, I got A gallstone. It got stuck in the duct. I had a lot of vomiting and nausea and PAINS in the ribcage but no one tested me for gallstones and kept chaulking up my issues as preg related....after baby came out and i still had symptoms, after eating FAT FREE YOGURT...i brought myself to the ER where they sent me for emergency surgery. It was very frightening! And then my surgeon told me later that preg hormones are very likely to cause gallstones but they are usual tiny and pa__sed...lucky me i got one that wasn't big enough to stay in the gallbladder and wasn't little enough to pa__s thru the duct.... Are you pregnant??? Or trying? Or recently had a baby?

I had pain like that for about a week. Turns out, it was just a pulled muscle. I was 25 weeks pregnant.
