I am 13 wks pg and i feel the urge to pee a lot. i also get lots of discharge.Its sometimes white or green and not that smelly. i feel very unconfortable.I wanted to know if there is any kind of infection or whatsoever. What kind of test are carried out to know if someone has got a viginal or urinary infection? Has anyone come across such pb? please help me. Can an infection affect my baby and in what way?

I just got back from the doctor's office for my 18 week check up. She examined me v____ally for infection but noticed that I had alot of discharge which was a whitish color. She thought I might have a yeast infection but I informed her I've been like that for a few weeks with no itching or pain. She ran a lab test and told me I was ok - no infection. I think you should check with your doctor although to confirm. Yes an infection can affect your baby depending what it is.

I had a white/greenish discharge from about weeks 12-20 and my doc. also thought it was a yeast infection but it turned out it wasnt an infection just discharge...but like mary said i would still double check they can usually tell with a simple urine or pap test.
