I'm in my first trimester, I'm six weeks along, and I have had PMS like cramps ever since around the time my period should have started. They aren't constant, just here and there. Usually when I go from being curled up in bed to standing up or from standing up to laying down, or sometimes when I'm stretching. Is this normal? I haven't had my first doctors appointment yet, it's a week from tomorrow...is this something urgent or is it normal and i should just mention it at my appt?

it really depends.. i had small little cramps and bleeding(just a little ) and they pulled me in right away for an ultrasound just to check. if you're really worried about it, it doesnt hurt to call you doc and see what they thiink, they're usually more knowledgable and know the right questions to ask you. but to make you feel a little better, my g/f had her period for 6 months before she even knew she was pregnant.. and she has a healthy baby boy...so sometimes it is normal..

I am 8 1/2 weeks, and I had PMS-like cramps until about 2 weeks ago. The doctor said that they are normal, and that there was no need to worry unless they were accompanied by heavy bleeding. Also, quite a few of my friends who've had healthy babies have told me that they had the same thing. I would mention it to your doctor just in case, but it doesn't sound like you need to be worried, especially since they're not constant.

Normal, but I would mention it to the doc when you go... Looking at the date of the post - seems like you already have been...
