I have been experiencing this. I am almost 28 weeks pregnant and it is accompanied by lower back pain. Has anyone had this?

sounds like sciatica, or pressure/irritation of/on your sciatic nerve. Be sure to mention to your MD, but barring anything else (like a disk issue), try to do some stretches (like down on all fours and lunging forward but keep comfortable), regular walking, shifting your weight when you sit and stand, and try sleeping on your side.

Thank you so much. Sleeping on my side especially my right is very uncomfortable. I sleep sitting up b/c of heart burn and this other problem.

Karen, sitting up may be aggravating your problem, as you are still putting vertical pressure down your spine, especially with the weight of the baby. HB is a drag, I have it already too, try to finish up your eating for the day minimum 2-3 hours before retiring (more if possible) and chewing an antiacid. Try sleeping on your left side, improves blood flow to your uterus anyway (most OBs will suggest this), perhaps using pillows between your knees and another one behind your back for support. It's surprisingly comfortable. Be sure to mention this numbness to your MD tho, you don't want to be messing with a slipped/herniated disc right now. Good luck. My back hurts too, but I know why. =)

Thank you I already know I am not allowed to sleep on my back which stinks b/c it is more comfortable. I have bought a body pillow but it makes me too hot. My OB put me on prevacid which I stopped taking b/c i was too worried. I have already had 2 miscarriages. I have a blood clotting disorder and had to receive Lovenox injections in pregnancy. I also had to take antibiotics b/c of Bronchitis. SO I don't want to put anything else in my body. I to take Tums.
