I am on week 23 and for the last couple of weeks, I have beengetting pain on my legs. Not just in my calves, but from my thighs all the way down. It is becoming very uncomfortable to sleep on any side. On my previous pregnancies, I did not have this discomfort. Should I be worried?

I get pain in my hips from lying on my side sleeping. I think it's the extra weight. I wouldn't be concerned.

hi bzmom 43, i am on my 26th and had the pain from my left thigh down, i think they call it sciatica and it's common to pregnancy because of baby's weight pressing on nerves. then few days ago the pain in right thigh started, and oh your so right saying this is so uncomfortable. this is my 4th pregnancy and never had this pain before. what i do now is applying hot pack on both sides during bedtime, somehow eases the severity of pain, i also self-ma__sage if hubby is not around to help. good luck!

I had the same apin when lying on my side at like 16 weeks. I wasn't sleeping well because of it. I finally went to my chiropractor and he said it was b/c my hips were really out. After 2 or 3 adjustments it has gone away. Now I make sure I go regularly to keep it away. I know many people are sceptical about this treatment but it has worked for all 3 of my pregnacies and is perfectly safe. If you are really suffering with pain it is worth a try! Much of the pregnancy back and leg pain is related to your spine being out of line, even headaches!

Could it be Sciatica pain?
Shooting down the back of your thighs from mid-bum?
I got it bad every time I walked or did anything with my last pregnancy, just near the end, when I was disproportionately huge in the front, and my hips displaced and softened.
You can see a chiropractor or an acupuncturist very safelt in pregnency, and might find incredible relief... also, sleep with a body pillow propped between your legs to prevent the hips displacement from hurting so much.
