Hi everyone. I am only five weeks pregnant and I think I have developed Thrush. We all know the symptoms. I went to get some Canestan from the chemist but was told they can't sell it over the counter if you are in your first trimester. If I wait for the GP to anaylse the urine sample I'll have delivered the baby.
Can I use it and will it affect the baby.
Also have had a slight pink discharge will this be partly because of the thrush/implantation bleeding or something more serious

Implantation bleeding is usually a little bit of pink. That's how I knew I was pregnant--especially with the second one. That's funny that the pharmacist won't sell it to you?? In Canada you don't need to buy it over the counter--it's just on the pharmacy shelf, and during my first pregnancy I just told me doc, I think I might have it and she didn't even check, and said just go pick up a home treatment. From my experience and my doctor's att_tude it doesn't sound like it would cause any problems--especially since you're still early in the pregnancy.
