has anyone had heart palpitations? my dr just moved my due date up to 10/28 and i've been having them a week or so. does stress have anything to do with it because i've had a lot going on but haven't had them before this pregnancy (this is my second pregnancy). any help you could offer is appreciated.

I've been having heart palpitations during this pregnancy (my second) and they freak me out!

The doctor said they really aren't anything to worry about.

i had them with each of my 3 pregnancies. Mine turned out to be nothing although I wore a cardiac holter for 24 hours.,. This is a little thing that looks like a ca__sette player and has wires with little tabs that attach to your skin like a bandaid and every time you feel a flutter you push a b___ton and it makes a chart on the tape. then after 24 hours you hand it back to the dr and they look at what is causing them. i had a ton of the flutters as i call them and when the cardiogist read my tape he picked up nothing unusual when I had pressed the b___ton indicating flutters. So they were basically nothing. I would definately mention it to the dr just so its on your file incase you ever need a general anestic for delivery or anything else. chances are they are from stress but do look into it, good luck

I have been through every test you can possibly think of for heart palpatations, some more than once. Stress can absolutely cause them, and I am proof of that. When I started taking anti-anxiety meds the palpatations practically dissappeared all together. Another thing that can cause them is low pota__sium.
