Lower Abdomen Pains At Night

I am 5 weeks pregnant. Recently, when I lay down for bed I have been having "cramp" like pains in my low abdomen. Is this pretty common? or a sign of something?

I am now 11 weeks pregnant. For me, cramping was especially painful at about 6 weeks. I was calling a nurse line and consulting with my doc. Although my doc said gas cramps are typically higher up, I found that pepto bismol brought instant relief. That set my mind at ease. Definitely, keep your doc informed. Best Wishes.
