Hi i was on antibotic for a while i got a yeast infection from them. I was 26 weeks at the time now 28. It was the first one i ever had. The pharacist said all the over the counter ones where fine he said they just dont like you inserting anything to late in your pregnancy, but he told me it would still be okay. I was a little nervous so i just used the canesten cream % it was cleared up in 2 days its been a week now and it did not return. Hope this helps

My sister had a yeast infection a month for two years. She started taking acidopholus tablets (that's the active ingredient in yogurt) and she's down to one yeast infection a year.

It could happen but it probably means your S/O has thrush too.
