hey, i'm 29 wks pregnant. i was just wondering if any of you know what could be causing the sharp pains in my cervix.

Hi,
I am 31 wks and having the same problem. I spoke with my doctor, he told me that it could very well be that my baby is sitting very, very low. When he moves any of his limbs, it could be impacting my cervix and causing the pain. The did an ultrasound to ensure that my cervix was closed and indeed it was. So they chalked up the pain I am having to his position. Hope this helps. Good luck with the remainder of your pregnancy.

I was having bad pains in my cervix and was discovered the little one had his feet lodged down there and even when he switched to bum down I still had bad pains. Probably just the way the baby is sitting and I know its hard but they do eventually shift positions and my goodness it feels so good when they do.
