You will be engorged for awhile, until your body figures out you are done b___stfeeding and stops making milk. It may help to use cold compress on you b___sts. You can buy these at Target in the baby/b___stfeeding section. Do a search on the internet about engorgement or engorged b___sts and/or call your doctor for advice. Your b___sts will stop making milk, it just takes a little while.

I have a 6 month old.I've been nursing. But now I'd like to stop my milk flow.I've started the process Thurs.night.I decreased the amount of milk I was pumping out which was any where from4-7 ounces @ a time.I have over 300 bags in the freezer.I've been doing the cabbage leaves, sudafed,& sage tinkter in rootbeer, double sports bra.cold compressesAnd I'm still engorged and uncomfortable. Is there anything else I can do?I'm about ready to give up and get my Latina out again and start pumping.
