At 7 weeks pregnancy I had a va___al ultrasound that clearly showed a baby heartbeat. HOWEVER, 3 weeks later, a Doppler soundwave detector could not pick up the baby's heartbeat sound. How reliable is Doppler equipment? I have to wait five more days to be re-tested and would really like some encouraging words of wisdom, please.

I am going through the exact same thing right now. I had an ultrasound 2 weeks ago and everything was perfect. Today, my doctor could not find the heartbeat with the doppler, and they are sending me for an ultrasound in 3 days. I am in tears right now worrying about it! How did everything go for you?

An update-- Thank God, my baby is fine. They found the heartbeat on Doppler when I went back-- Doctor said baby just needed a few more days to develop. So, Summer- my thoughts are with you. I hope you get same GOOD news I got. :)
