Does urinary infection affect baby?

I 6 weeks pregnant and also have a urinary infection. I went to see the Dr., and he gave me meds. He also said as long as you get it taken care of right away, everything should be okay. But, after you've had one, get checked for them often throughout your pregnancy, just to be safe.

Hi~ Geting urinary infections is really nothing to be worried about, as long as you see your doctor. It is very commom in pregnant women, so I am told!

I agree with them, I had one with my first pregnancy and the doctor gave me antibiotics to clear it up, didnt hurt the baby at all. Talk with your doctor about it, Im sure he can give you all the information you need.

As long as you take your meds and get checked from here on out you and your baby will be fine
