i've been off the pill for 6 years using NO form of contraception what-so-ever. we've been ttc hardcore for about a year now. i've been diagnosed with PCOS, so it's been a battle. i recently had a 2 day period (which short periods aren't unusal for me, but never 2 days before, often 4 days). i've been having stomach cramps and diarrhea on and off for about 2 weeks now, combined with nausea (no vomiting tho). i'm beginning to wonder if i'm pregnant. i didn't think i was because of the period last week, but reading these posts now has me thinking twice. is it common to get a period when your pregnant? **crossing my fingers and praying**

This is for ca__sie79: My friend had her period until she was 6 mnths which is why she didn't know she was pregnant until she was 6 mnths.. She's real little and skinny so you couldn't tell at all that she was pregnant until after her 6 months.. I hope this helps you out. Wait until your next missed period or consult with a doctor..

i just got off my period today, it was a normal period lasted 7 days like always.. but ever since yesterday i have been having reeeally bad cramps and diarrhea . i took some over the counter pill and even THAT didnt work. I wouldnt think that I'd be pregnant because i just had my period, but then I told a friend of mine and shes pregnant and I didnt believe her, and she gave me this website and made me come on this forum, and now I'm not so sure. could I be pregnant?

I googled diarrhea pregnancy because my stools have been rather loose the last 2 weeks. I am not too worried about it as I haven't had any morning sickness at all so I figure its not a bad trade-off. Reading all this though makes me think it might be my prenatal vitamin. I think comparing it to how much you might lose in vomiting could be relevant? at least if it made it through the intestines then you are likely to have absorbed more nutrients than if it projects back out of the stomach? If you are getting both it might be worse.. but have faith and listen to your body. and this "Brat" diet sounds like a goer too if it is that bad for you? Banana Rice Applesauce and toast? best wishes and relax!

I found out I was pregnant yesterday. I have PCOS and was told I would most likely need fertility treatments to conceive, so you can imagine my surprise when I saw all 4 positive results (4 different tests). I have been suffering from diarrhea for the past week and a half. I figured it was a stomach virus and thought nothing of it. But after having 2 strange dreams yesterday morning about getting a positive result, I sprung out of bed and took a test. According to a lot of people I know, the diarrhea is caused by the hormonal changes in the body. I have cramping like I have a virus, but immediately afterwards, I feel better. It's a vicious cycle, and I hope it will stop soon. It happens once or twice a day. I have an appointment with the doctor first thing Monday morning. Just thought I'd post to let you know that the diarrhea symptoms, in my case, meant I was pregnant. Plus it will give all you people with PCOS hope that you can conceive naturally.

What's the earliest anyone has had diarrhea that was related to their pregnancy? I've had it the last few days and there's a possibility i'm pregnant, but i don't know if it's way way too soon for it to have anything to do with that.

the book what to expect while expecting explains that is your hormones within your body changing. Also if you have changed your diet for the better, this too can lead to diarrhea.Try to eat banana's or other binding foods to help you out. Good luck.

I too have the diarrhea. I'm almost 6 weeks and I've had symptoms since the 5th week. I was told that constipation was normal, but it wasn't very likely to have the diarrhea. I went to the Dr. and they just told me to fat for one day to see if the symptoms subsided. I even switched to soy milk to see if that was the problem. It didn't seem to be. I am so glad that i am not the only one out there experiencing this! It's a relief! I was really worried.

I am about 7 weeks with my second pregnancy. With my son, I had diarrhea the whole first trimester, pretty much every day after one meal or another. The food would just flush right through me. With this pregnancy, it seems to be worse. It started right after conception (for those of you wondering, yes it MAY be a sign of pregnancy because it was for me!), and I have it sometimes three or more times a day. I attribute it to hormonal changes. I have always had sort of a "sensitive system" anyway. On the plus side, this seems to be my version of morning sickness, so at least it's not vomiting!
