I know this is a gross question, but I have not thrown up at all, but I have had diarrhea everday. I am just wondering how normal this is.

Me too! Every morning! It is freaking me out. Is this normal? How far along are you?

ok- i thought something was wrong with me- but I am experiencing diarrhea too. I must have about 3 bowel movements a day. I am about 6-7 wks. ( i always read you're supossed to get constipated) Although last night i did have some nausea. No vomitting so far.

I heard that you can get diarrhea from increasing progesterone levels. Not sure if iy is true. It's a little nerve-wracking!

Erin & Elizabeth - It makes me feel better to know that I am not the only one feeling this way. I have been freaking out about this, too. Almost to the point of having anxiety attacks. Yes, it is very nerve racking!!! I have even found it hard to go to work feeling like this. I am 5 weeks today. Erin - how far long ar you? Elizabeth - when did yours start? Are you all taking anything for it? My doc finally said I could take Imodium AD.

I am 5 weeks. It really is nice to talk to people going thtrough the same thing. I have been freaking out as well. Also, my pg symptoms really fluctuate. How about you guys?

Lisa, what did your doc say about it? Is it normal?

I am 6-7 wks- will find out more at first appt. 1/13/06. I spoke with my mom who has worked in a womens clinic fo 14 years- i guess some people get constipated, some get diarrhea. ??So far today - no diarrhea???? My main sx's are b___bs hurt, i'm tired- and i go from starving to no appet_te at all. Sometimes my stomach feels unsettled. I am excited, scared, nervous, and feel at times i may be crazy- This is also my first -just want my baby to be ok.

Elizabeth, my symptoms are SO similar to yours. Especially the stomach feeling unsettled.

Erin K - I haven't actually talked to me doctor yet. My appt isn't until the 19th of this month. All they said is to take Imodium. My only other symptoms are extreme anxiety and cramping. My b___bs aren't sore yet. I am hoping that all of this is just hormones!!! And I hope they go away soon!!!

Erin K - January 8

I hope it is hormones too! I sometimes feel so pregnant and other times not at all!

Just wanted to rea__sure you guys, with my first I was soooo constipated, but with the second just the opposite. Like you guys I seemed never out of the loo! Both bubs were completely normal and healthy (second one actually bigger and term) so try not to worry. You will definitely notice some foods that will make it worse, but I would try not to use anything unless you have to, because often you end up constipated after using that stuff. Although it sounds like a blessing at the moment, believe me, it's not. The funny thing with this pregnancy is that I seem to alternate ... weird, and tmi sorry!!!

Thanks Kez. Still going to the bathroom all the time, but my symptoms seem to have disappeared since last night. Should I be worried? Could they come back?

Hi ladies i just thought i would add my two sense cents. i was in your position not too long ago. I am 13 weeks now but when i was around 5 or 6 weeks i had constant diarrhea. i thought something may be wrong since from what i heard most women experienced constipation and not diarrhea during early pregnancy. i actually posted about it and found that other women were going through it too. after a while my diarrhea turned into constipation and if i had to choose between the two i would gladly go back to the diarrhea. now at 13 weeks it kinda switches back and forth but its really nothing to panic about. it is a bit annoying but it is just another part of pregnancy. try not too worry too much, i know its hard but u'll be ok. best wishes :-)

I spoke to my doc yesterday and he said 5-10% of women experience this and that I shouldn't worry. He said to just make sure I am getting plenty of fluids.

I am 8 weeks today and just got over really bad diarrhea. The past 2 weeks I was going to the bathroom every hour for 15 minutes at a time. The worst part about it was I had to do this at my job where the bathroom is shared by many. I was wondering if anyone experienced having trouble sleeping at night. Along with the diarrhea the past two weeks I was tossing and turning all night as if I had just drank 2 cups of coffee. I do feel better this week though. This is my second and I don't rememeber ever experiencing these sympoms. The last time I didn't get morning sickness until I was 3 months along. I hope that isn't the case this time. I would love for the diarrhea to have been my morning sickness.
