Hi patientlywaiting2012. Thanks so much for your comments. I took my pregnancy test this morning and it was a negative:( I was so disappointed but I'm wondering if I took it too soon? Given that I only missed on the 23rd and if we happened to conceive even on that day, its only been 12 days since. Is it possible I'm still pregnant? I hope so. Have you gotten a blood test? it might be more conclusive than the pregnancy tests. Lots of baby dust to you!

Well Feelinghopeful: Hope your day has been going good. I really think that if you just conceived on the 23rd--of course you might still be pregnant! I will keep my fingers and toes crossed for ya! I picked up a couple of more dollar tests-they are pretty accurate from what I have found in the past and no blue dye to confuse the eyes..Last night's-I thought I saw a very faint line but when I got up this morning to take the 2nd that I bought-it appears more like an evaporation line. I have never had evaporations on those tests before and not sure if it's just a bad test or what. I took the 2nd test and dropped it in my computer bag--got to work (about a 20 minute drive)--pulled it out of the bag--and another BF-Evaporation line. (what is weird is that the evap lines are wide like the line would be if BFP.) After being at work this morning-I started having a few "hard" cramps; went to the bathroom and I was bleeding red. I had no spotting on tp yesterday and the night before that (tuesday)--there was just yellowish cm on the tp. I borrowed a couple of pads from the stash we keep at work--figuring it had to be AF--but there's only a couple of places that I've bled onto it. It also looks more brown to black than red--but when I wiped the both times I used the bathroom-it was def. dark red. Maybe this was just a messed up cycle for me although it doesn't feel like it. Last night when I went to bed I had some bad nauseasness and when I woke I felt fine until about 9 or so this morning while at work for about 30 minutes and then felt fine the rest of the day. I also noticed driving home that my right b___st hurt along the sides. Maybe I am just too worked up by the possibility of being pregnant and my body is out of whack or something. I have had that happen before right after my first m/c with the dh. I remember wanting to get pregnant again so much that I over a___lyzed everything--ended up being a few days late and the day I bought and used an hpt--started my period with a vegenance. I have prayed to God to either let me be pregnant or start something that resembled my period so that I could put my mind at ease. But looks like I am still more confused. I can't go for a blood test right now--my husband is a full time college student--and we don't have regular insurance. The clinic I had already gone to does just regular P.Ts and if it comes out positive they do a limited u/s so that they can get pretty close dates as to how far along you are. I thought about seeing if they would just go ahead with the u/s for me--but I doubt they would. Well, I'll let you know how things are going tomorrow--at this rate anything goes. Hi patientlywaiting2012, Wow sounds like an eventful day. Strange that you keep getting evaporation lines. I will keep my fingers crossed for you! hopefully that you will test positive soon! Today was a bit weird for me as well. I was so sure that the "spotting" would finish by now if it was implantation bleeding. But the last two days it was more red spotting than brown. Earlier since Sept 29 its been pretty brown spotting..and now red, so I have no idea what is going on. So I've been bleeding (spotting) for 7 days now. I posted on another forum but now I think I also have a yeast infection on top of everything else that's going on. I've read that pregnancy can make you prone to yeast infections but I'm wondering if I'm just fishing for clues. I've only had 4 my entire life, weird it should come now. Also being an idiot, my husband and I made love again two days ago when I was spotting (I thought it was over), but then that night I was still spotting and now the beat goes on. I'm wondering if that would have induced more bleeding. I'm still wondering if its implantation or just my period now. I'm slowly losing hope. What are your thoughts? Wishing for the best for you! I have been off birth control since August 2008, but we have not intentionally been trying to get pregnant, so I haven't been tracking when we have s_x or when I ovulate. My periods always seemed pretty irregular, but I started tracking them in November 2010 and I noticed I was averaging a 45 day cycle. {averaging because I never start at the same time} My periods have always been extremely heavy and painful, and I always know when I am about to start because I have severe cramping at least 2 days before I start. My last period began on Aug 5 and I was due for my next period around September 19 {which would have been day 45} but it never came. I wasn't worried about it because my periods have ranged from 39-50 day cycles. I am now on day 64...and still no period. However, 5 days ago I started bleeding very lightly.I wasn't cramping, which was odd, and it was a brownish color. I have continued to bleed just a little bit every day but it's not enough to be a period {and is not accompanied by any of my normal period symptoms}. This morning it was more of a pinkish red than a brownish color. I took a pregnancy test on Wednesday {2 days ago} but it was negative. I'm starting to get really concerned. I don't know what to make of this bleeding? Does it sound like implantation bleeding? {please say yes-haha!} From everything I've read, it sounds like it but I don't want to get my hopes up...I've taken so many darn pregnancy tests in our 6 years of marriage, I can't get excited about anything. but THIS has never happened before, so I can't help but hope and/or be concerned. Any help would be appreciated!

Alwiss: Welcome to the "Am I or Aren't I" rollercoaster...I told "feelinghopeful" anything is possible...I have cycles like what you describe and I wasn't pregnant but then again--it is possible because you may not have ovulated one month but did the next and you are experiencing IB. I have been taking hpts just about everyday (especially since 10 dpo) Today is dpo 19 and I got a very faint line on both hpts used this morning (1 blue and 1 pink dye test--Equate was the blue and I am not sure what level it reads and the pink was a dollar general brand) I had been getting BFEvaps (the lines were thick and fat too but completely white). I am going to pick up a few more tests here in a bit and keep testing. If I am pregnant and implantation just occurred when I was spotting during dpo 10-15 or so--then my hcg levels should begin to double and the lines will get darker. I have been trying to find out I should be testing now or still wait a few more days because from what I read the hcg gets into your system when the egg finally implants and it takes time for it to rise. I have been tired, feeling a little nauseas the last 3 days (since spotting stopped), b___bs are sore the last two days and today they feel full. I do check my cp and cm a few times a day and am beginning to wonder if some of the spotting isn't from the fact that I've irritated my cervix because I have not spotted on the tp since monday night. HI All! I'm new here. I found this thread on a google search and boy am I glad I did. Here's my story. Hubby and I are ttc our first. I am 37 (little bit of a late start!)and need to get going. Had s_x on Oct 1 & 2 nd around time of ovulation. For the past 4 days I've had major heartburn, some nausea, very moody. Yesterday while checking me cervix, I noticed brown/pinkish blood. This would be around 7-8 DPO. And fingers crossed, it was implantation bleeding. I've NEVER had this before. Period is not due for another 9-10 days. Thanks for all the posts with similar expereinces and keep them coming with updates. It's so nice to hear about someone's elses BFP, it gives me hope.

Tammy: It def sounds like IB--the timing is right on; whereas my spotting hasn't been so "spot-on" (so to speak)..You might be able to get a + in the next few days but if you can hold out till AF is due--might be able to get a really good BFP! Let us know! Baby Dust to you! Good Luck!

My update... Well...I tested this am (monday-10/10) and BFN...I called the clinic and spoke to a nurse on the phone and she said with everything I told her it was either one of two things--either I was pregnant and it was what they considered a chemical miscarriage or I wasn't pregnant and my af was lighter than normal due to stress and diet. (I have been dieting since January). She said the change in my eating habits and exercise along with any unrelated stress whether at work with the family could throw my system off kilter. She said the diet part wasn't as big a concern to her as the stress. I was told to try and find ways to release my stress and that my dieting was a good thing and that it was possible that my cycles may return to what they were before I gained the weight that I'm now losing. She also said if it was a chemical pregnancy--not much they could have done anyways. She suggested keeping track of my next 3 cycles closely and maybe coming in and letting the doc determine if I need "help" getting back on track or getting pregnant. Since I will be 38 in March and have 2 pretty awesome kids already--not too worried about getting pregnant again-although it was a pleasant surprise since over the last 10 years we have been ttc and Not ttc and faced pregnancy loss. It is in God's hands and I will be keeping track in a journal of what my cycle does each month. Who knows--maybe there is another baby in our future and maybe not--but at least I know that I can have some control by writing down what I notice. Good Luck to the rest of ladies! Hi Everyone, an update from me. Well it looks like its a BFN for me, the doctor thinks I just had breakthrough bleeding because I missed my pills and not much else. I had a yeast infection for the last 9 days. Although she says if I dont' get my next period to test again but I have had two negative tests. we'll wait and see. Either way, hopefully this will happen for us one day! Baby dust for all.

I usually start menstruating on the 15th or 16th. This is like clock work, never earlier, never later. I had unprotected s_x and according to my ovulation calender, of the three highest days it was in the middle. The 11th I started spotting, dark in color but it stopped. The 12 same thing but a very very light pink, and stopped. 13th light light pink then stopped. I had a feeling that I was pregnant and took several tests. 3 store brand tests all came out with a very faint positive. 3 dollar store tests came out negative 1 came out with just a dot where the positive line would be, but not the whole line. Today (13th) I spent the extra money and got a clear blue digital, it came out Not Pregnant. My b___sts have been sore for about 7 days now, this is not usual for my monthly. I have also been having faint cramps that feel like pulling around my lower abdomen, have been nauseous for 2 days. Is there a chance I am in fact pregnant and just getting odd results from testing too early? What are your thoughts?

Hi! I am questionable about everything that's happening with my body. I was suppose to get my menstrual on 11/6/11 but only received that Sunday a red spot when ever I wiped I thought ok that's an indication of my period about to start. Just a little info before I began to explain how my body is operating right now. Okay my menstrual is regular I have heavy periods and I can really I mean really feel up a tampon. So as I stated before I saw the indication, I was like ok it's about to start but the next few days it never really flowed. I would wipe and see brwn, or pink blood, never really filled up a tampon I bought panty liners and then didn't feel them up either. So now it's like 7 days later and that's it. No heavy flow at all. I'm not experiencing any cramps, not tender b___st, nothing at all. Everyone around me is like oh your probably stressed i'm not~ ohh it's just irregular..it really isn't ever I just don't know what to think. I took a pregnancy test while I was doing all this spotting or what ever you would like to call it and it came out Neg. So what to do...I guess I'll wait another week, but I really never seen a pos. result so I don't know what to thnk of this.

when did you test that week of implantation bleeding?

I started a period 7/22, had implantation bleeding 8/18, with a positive test on 8/26. Implantation bleed for me has always been barely noticeable, not enough for a liner, just a slight pink when I wipe. I conceived 8/12 (I was using ovulation tests at the time). It felt exactly like I was starting early. Slightly crampy, but other than that, no symptoms. It's different for everyone and every pregnancy.
