Hi Kim, just wondering how you are doing? How is everything with you? i called my doc's office and told him how tired I feel all day long. If somebody tells me to sleep all day, I would love to. I have very little energy and feel lathargic. So he told me to make an appt early and he is going to check my thyroid and hemo...blood work. He said he wants to give sugar test also ....the fasting one. On Mon I have an appt. with a neurologist. I will tell u about it. Next week I am gonna be very busy. My sis in law and all are coming. Week after that my husband and I are going for our July4th weekend vacation. Okay, I am reading a bood, "what to expect when you are expecting". There is a question about Sciatica..lowerback and leg pain. I thought, I should tell: It says: This sounds like another of the occupational hazardsof expectant motherhood. the pressure of the elarging uterus, which had been responsible for so many other discomforts, can also affect the sciatic nerve, causing lower back, b___tock and leg pain. Rest, and a heating pad applied locally, may help, as can performing stading Pelvic Tilts. Swimming can also relieve pressure n the nerve. The pain of sciatic amay pa__s as your baby's position changes, or it may linger until you hae delivered In severe cases, a few days of bed rest or special exercises may be recommended. Complementary and alternative treatments, such as chiropratic medicine, acupuncture and therapeutic ma__sage, may also be beneficial. Let me know...any other stuff and how you are doing. hugs!

Yes, I 3rd trimester is just around the corner and soon...then we will be talking about the delivery. My friend had her second baby....she the labor pain all night long, but took the epidural and in the morning 8ish...15minutes of pushing and her daughter was in her hands. I wish ours would like that too. but I heard a lot of time that second time it is easier. My DH is keeping the secret very nicely to himself. I will find out during my 8th month. I also think it is a baby girl on two basis. 1) we did not do intercourse near the ovulation date....so as they say tht slower sperms contribute towards daughter....2) I did not see the p___s protuding during ultrasound, but anyhow I can't tell much. hehehe. My Dh and I tried for s_x. I told him to do fast...he got the pleasure. but then I told I want later...he got upset that I did not go my ultimate thing. I told him that I did get the pleasure anyhow and we willkeep on trying. You know sometimes my v____a becomes dry? It makes it even harder for s_x...you think Kelly gel is safe? I forgot to ask my doc. What about you guys...no oral s_x also? Last weekend, my DH cleaned the whole house so nicely..he took almost the half day and I was so amazed. When I went near the bathroom, he got upset....saying I told you to sit on the couch...not to comehere...there are chemicals...Anyhow. His work is so busy too. What do you guys do for romance stuff? I want to give my DH a good treat on our trip...any ideas...? I am planning to take a lingrie, candle light dinner/ but can u suggest something diff? Rest later....Take Care. I hop you enjoy your pregnancy too. I know you will. Just pray to God. Love and have a nice day.

Hi, ladies! I haven't been by in a hiwle becase work was hectic and I have been a combination of very sick and very tired. I posted a couple of tiem son the other post, but by the time I finished, Iw as so exhausted I enever made it over here. Glad to here your babies are doing well. Avi -regadin the CTS - I had that back when I used to work n customer service but it inly surfaces on rare occasions becaues i don't do all thta typing anymore. I have noticed that I am getteing some mild numbness in my right hand when I drive in the morning but I think it is from trying to sleep on my side - which is a constant struggle because I keep roling over onto my back n my sleep and have to wake up and turn on my side again) and because my stupid herniated disc on mny left side starts to act up - and sleeping on right side only lasts for about half the night. Kim - My friend said her daughter sat on her sciatic nerve and it killed! Sometimes they move on their own. Let's hope your little girl does. AS for the morning sicknes, I am getting it too and it has been all day, with dry heaves in the morning, and sometimes a second vomit after btreakfast or when i brush my teeth. Not to mention the many "almosts" in between. I thought it was ending then it started up again BAD and I broke down and took the meds (zofran) a few times.I was so hesitant to do it, too because I am normally so anti that stuf, but I was so ill and eating was such a challenge that I gave in. I took it trwice inone week and then twice in the next week. Thought it had finally srtared to go awwya, and then BOOM - last week back to the dry hevaes so I took it agan three times thispast week. I worry, but doc said it is safe up to 3x a day, and I have only at MOST taken it 3x in 7 days, and I have several friends who took it with no problems. One took it everyday from 15 months on. I try to live with it as much as posisble and get my other methods to work and leave the pill as a last resort. Anywya, yesterday (friday) was 17 weeks for me. I have my next doc appt on Monday, and I have my u/s scheduled for 6/27. Other than the nausea and the whoel trying to sleep on my side issue (and HEARTBURN!) my only oter issue is some constipation, probably because i don't get enough fiber due to the factthta is little munchkin womn't let me eat much veggies. trying ot make up for it with fruit. ANd I am goign ot meniton it to the doctor on Monday. Oh yeah, the zofran has constipation as a side effect, another good reason not to take it.

I am now 17w 1d and so far,all is well. Good luck ladies. It is unbelievebly stressful in the beginning, but be positive as there is hope because you caught it early. Like vi &/Kim said - get follow-up bloodwork and the u/s and hopefullty it will show all well and progressing.

Hi ladies... Sorry it has been a while since I have written. But I have still been pretty much out of comission. Baby girl moved from one side and I was good for about 10 hours with no pain and then she went right to my other side. The doc. says that she finds a warm spot there and they did a ice pack test and sure enough as i was laying on the ice pack she moved off of it and then as soon as I get off the ice pack she goes rigth back to were she was. I have a feeling between the nausea and the back pain I dont know if i can take the pain any more. I am so tired of being sick. I considered taking the meds for the nausea but each time I go to cave in I chicken out. So this is probably a major fault of my own. On a better note Avi... we only have 3 more months or so. Hopefully she will ease up on me the next few weeks. As for my pain in my hands and feet... its still pretty tender when I use my hands but its most likely from inflamed blood vessels that are being pressed up form minor swelling. I love the fact that your husband is so helpful. My husband does everything he possibly can and I love it. I still feel bad sometimes like he just is doign to much. We have started to work on the nursery slowly but surely. We started cleaning out the room and getting rid of the furniture in it. It was our home office but its a big room with its own bathroom. The room size is 16 X12 X 9. the bathroom has it own walk in closet and shower with built in private bath. So baby girl has a huge room and her own bathroom. We decided to do a rubber ducky themed bathroom and a cla__sic pooh bear themed nursery. We have started to look at paint colors because on the weekend of July 1 my sister and her fiance are coming here to help my husband paint. My sister and I will shop and the men will paint and stuff. I am really looking forward to that. We created our registries at target.com and buybuybaby.com and people have already almost cleared off target one. I ordered the baby furniture this weekend being that it take 14-16 wks. to arrive. I figure that is just the right timing. My husband and I have still not had s_x. Its ok though. I understand his feeling on it and I can not argue with the fact that he is just being careful being that he saw what i went through the first time around. I was devastated and he had to help me through it. he was great as always. We still have intamacy though just not s_x. But atleast when the baby comes and we finally have it then its gonna be ALL NIGHT LONG... lol. We already agreed that after the doc. says it ok to do it again that we are going to get a hotel room and leave baby girl with my parents for the weekend. :) I think that your weekend away with hubby is great. I love that you are going to try and be romantic. Why not do candle light dinner with a sparkling cider or how about your husbands favorite movie with choc. covered strawberries and his favorite foods. You can also do a romantic walk or wake him up in the middle of the night to show him some good lovin'. :) My husband loves that!!! Helene... hang in there. Granted my nausea has lasted so far all the way through but thats not likely and very uncommon. However the heartburn is common. Tums Tums Tums. I swear by them these days and my doc. says they are perfectly natural and safe. Sleeping on your side is going to take some getting used to but your pain might be from your positioning. Try the human body pillow. It works wonders. Not for my back but thats just because of baby girl but with sleeping it feels like you are in your own place of solace. I love body pillows. I had one before i was pregnant. Let me know how the doc. appt. goes. I am sure everything is going well with your little bambino. Well ladies as for me i am going to go lay down again but I wanted you to check out my website that i created for baby girl. it has some pics of me and hubby on it as well as recent sono pics of baby girl. the link is.... http://www.babysites.com/sites/knpandrews/ Love to all ladies... xoxo

Hi Ladies, I am sooo busy with guests, I will write in detail after this weekend for sure. Kim, how is your pain now? I went to the neurologist...he said CTS for srue. He did some conductivity test with little shocks. My sensory nerve is sensitive....I have tingling and numbness all day long in my hands and wrist hurts a lot....so I wear wrist guard all day long. It does me some relief. early mornings are worst and for other pain and inflammation he saying either tendenitis or rheumatoid arithriits. My mom got rheumatoid arth when she was 28 and she got it right after she gave birth to my bro. I am 28 right nwo, so doc will run the blood test on me. What about you deear? I feel the baby now. It is nice. I get soooo tired. Oh yeah, doc has told me to take Tylenol once per day. Then my DH told the doc that I am scaredto even take Tylenol. Doc told me, "please give it a try and letme know, it is non steroidnal and no harm to the fetus", so I have taken one today. I did my glucose tolerance test today also, just will wait for the result. Helen, as for the sleeping position. I still lie down on my back. Left side...I get sooo tired and right side sleeping gives me numbness badly. But yeah, left side is good. I am so happy t hat you are at your 18th week now. cool. It seems that all of us just started our pregnancy and it is ending also. Sometimes I get so scared thinking is my amniotic fluid leaking...bla bla bla....It happened with my friend and she delivered her baby at 28th week. Baby is so beautiful and happy baby. Do you guys snore? I snore little bit, but I get up with my own snoring. lots of love and rest in detail next week. Take Care and enjoy!

Hi Avi, Helen & The Rest Sorry I m being moving my home lately so cldnt get in touch with you'll. The alst time my prog levels were low..the Doc started me on the tablets to be taken twice a day..now that I take then regularly..it seems to have helped..the last week when my husband and me went to the Doc..he did an U/s & he showed us the heartbeat...so I guess it's ok...I have to see him again at the end of the month and then he will do all the blood sampling etc. I was so scared I can't tell you'll. I still dont feel any nausea but the medicines make me dizzy a lot...I feel I have also become a lo more emotional..I am planning to start studying for the GRE exam to keep myself busy. I also get tired a lot and my clothes dont fit too well..infact I feel bloated around my stomach.... Ok Ladies waiting to hear from you'll keep me posted ok......

sanjavi77 - June 26

Hi M2, It is good that yu don't have nausea, but rest of the symptoms are there. Try to sleep on your left side the most, it will help with the dizziness. If u are getting tired, which is so normal in the first trimester, make sure you sleep no less than 9 hours. bloated? Good luck! Eat some fibrous food. I am still struggling with that and as the tummy gets bigger, constipations makes it worst. So increase your fiber diet from the bigenning. I am so so so glad tht the doc saw the heartbeat.. How many beats per minute it was? good luck with all the blood work. Once we see the good and strong heartbeat....the journey starts. don't worry a lot. Relax and study for your GRE. Mine is pending from 3 years. I don't feel like doing MS, but pls don't be like me. get GRE done! GOOD LUCK

sanjavi77 - June 26

Hi Kim and Helene, How are both of you doing? i am so exhausted. Does the numbness go away from your hands Kim? Mine remains 24/7 in the right hand and feet sweel like hot dog. I also have a backpain....no bending. Well take care and relax! Helene, do you feel any movments nwo ? Take Care!

M2 - June 26

Hi Avi, Yr mail was so good. well the heartbeat rate I dont know as yet...I jst hope all goes well...when I get dizzy I jst keep dng something in the house & then after an hour or so it goes away..I am pretty sure that its the progesterone tabs which r causing it...well well the GRE...I have been postponing it for years...The books are with me too but I dont know what stops...I guess its the high scores & the fear of achieving it... I eat a lot of Veges & milk products so my bowl movements r good till now atleast..lets c what happens...what else is gng with u? r u working ..I m not rt now..I jst got to the US 7 mts ago.

Helene - June 26

Hi! Ladies! Been busy with all the end of school stuff so I haven't had a chance to post. Everythign went well with last doc appt (last Mon) - heartbeat 145bpm. Tomorrow I have my amnio and possibly they will do the big u/s at the same time - doc said the tech wil see if she can see all she needs to and if not, they will just have me come back in a week or two. I am a little nervous. Just want a healthy baby. Kim- I checked out your site - you and dh make a cute couple! I finally had dh take a pic of me sideways, but I can't get the stupid camera to dpwnload the pics onto computer. I was going to do an online pregnancy journal so my mom could see everything. If I ever get it working, Iwill let you guys know. Thanks for the advice, Kima nd Avi. DOc said not to freak about about waking up on my back - just rollback over. ALos he said I can sleep propped up at an angle. I start out usually on right side or back and then switch. I end up alternating sides (left is shortest time because of the disc). Left side helps with gas and nausea. Back helps me with my disc and lower back. Yeah I have that big body pilow thta is in an s-curve. I love it. LIke you said, though it doesn't cure everything. I thought the m/s had ended, but it came back again. It is just mild with some dry heaves and some minor nausea so I haven't been taking the pills. I only took them a few times when it was really bad and i couldn't keep anything down. I have had some awful constipation - mainly because I was eating almost no veggies and not keping much down. I have been getting more fiber throug fruit (berries!) and more veggies (only occasionally green so I am making up for them with red, yelow and orange) so it is better. but for a whiel there I was getting such pain from everything being blocked up (even the gas was traped - ugh - painful!). thimgs are way better now. M2- that is such great news about your u/s and baby's hb. That is the first of many good signs! Good luck with GRE's. I remember taking them and they sucked! My uncle died a few days before mine and I went home form college so I had to reschedule them at another ol;cation near my house (which was not that near and was across a bridge). Well, I took the two sections back to back (general and English LIt). Hen I opened the bok the first section was MATH - my worst subjecta, and then I thought I would get soemthign to eat in between the two exams, but when I got to my car Idiscovered the battey was dead because i had forgotten to turn off my headlights (hey, this was before daytime running lights!). So I just put my head down and sighed then went back inside to look for a vending machine (ha, ha!).

knpandrews - June 26

Hi Ladies... Sorry it has been a few days since my last posting. I have been dealing witht the pain from my legs and my rounding ligament pain in my hip muscle. As well as the nausea... which i am absolutely shocked it is still there. I am starting to get concerned though because my stomach has not popped out yet. I still feel that I do not have that pregnant belly look. I am just worried that something is wrong but I guess I will have to wait until July 6th when my next visit with the doc. Avi... How are things over your way? Are you enjoying your company? How have you hands been feeling? I still have some numbness in mine but I know it carpel tunnel. My feet I think is Planters faceitous. (sp). But over all the pain in bareable compared to the back pain i have been having. Helene... So glad to hear that things are going well wth you and that you are enjoying your body pillow. Thanks for the kuddos on my DH pic and I. He is a wonderful man and I am super lucky to have him take care of me during this time. Lets see... how about both of your stomachs do you have the pregnant belly yet? I mean dont get me wrong... I can feel my uterus right in the middle of my belly b___ton but I dont have that cute pregnant belly yet!!! how abotu you ladies? Any belly popping yet? XOXO
