Helene, Hope you have a good vacation. First to you...all the best for your AFP results. I know how much I was scared. The day I got negative results, in the evening I went to the church. I am not very very religious, but anything for the kids. don't worry a lot though, just cross your fingers and pray to God. Usually, the chances are really low. enjoy your time with your loved ones. good to know that yoour constipation has settled down, but keep it up this way b/c as our uterus gets bigger, it puts pressure on our bladder and intestines....which makes us constipated, heartburn and visit the restroom like thousand times in a day. Once in a day munch on dry fruits, almonds are not only good for us, but good for the baby also. I forget, but I am going to set thngs, so that I remember. I take raisins with the almonds...raisins have a lot of fiber. I forgot to mention b/c of the busy schedule that for July 4th weekend my dh and I went to Hawaii, Maui....it is so nice. I thought I will get to relax by the ocean, but there are so many activities that we were interested in that how 4 days went by...I dunno. but now that I am back and can see how much we enjoyed. I was sooo scared before going, but apart from the six hours flight and tiredness all was okay. Everytime before going somewhere I would look around for the restroom...so probably on that island I visited whole lots of restrooms also. The submarine trip was great. It takes ppl to the bottom of the ocean, I was just little bit scared, but ppl around were so nice...in the ferry and submarine this lady kept asking me, if I was okay.

Hi Kim, I read your posts and I am really surprised by your nausea. I wish you could take my symptoms except from constipation and get rid of your nausea. Yup, welcome to the third trimester. Amazing. You know the third one might go faster too you know...we have our lamaze cla__sed and then starting week 30th we will be going once in two weeks and then close to delivery...I hope we go full term and then every week I think. I really can't stop thinking about the d-day...delivery day. It seems as if time is running out. Kim, I checked yr website, it is cool. You both make such a cute couple. Wedding pics are great and so are baby's 19th week ultrasound pics. What are doing for food and all? Are u able to cook somewhat? How are your wrists doing? Mine are awful. Couple times I cried jsut for like 10 sec and then I feel better. Have u thought about some of the names yet? So far I am thinking of baby girl's names only...my dh says...what if my search goes waste? he is so good and not giving me any hint, if it is a boy or a girl. sometimes it is very tempting. Once in a while my mood also goes onthe winding road. couple of my friends are preg also. In our group we do a pot luck during baby shower. So the one who is organizing for our friend coming up on July 22nd....she called me and I said that let me know if i can do something...I thought she would tell me to bring a cake, or drinks...plates....things which are bit easy...some rice item or something...but she told me to bring Indian curry, which is easy, but when I asked her for how many ppl she said that 30 adults...I was like...you should have seen my face...it was funny....first pic came to me ...how much onion, ginger, garlic do I have to chop along with the veggies??? I was thinking...she is well aware of my wrist problem, but I said may be it will hard, but let me know by Mon whatever. Anyhow, is there any specific time when you feel your princess move a lot? Mine is sort of here and there, but when I sit still after the dinner....I keep my tummy out...I can see stomach lifting up like a little wave ....it is baby going from left to right and sometimes the kick is so hard, but so lovely. M2 next one will be for you... Kim is so right in her last post...what she wrote....don't givea d__n about people who are like this or that is wrong. M/c I know puts fear inside us, but it is so common...the doc who treated me she herself had m/c she told. my mom had one after me and all my friends except for one had. It is actually nothing wrong...I think...it is just hormones going up and down...mostly and it can be corrected so well. Just like you I also thought that I rather have a healthy baby....whatever God does, he does it for good. I thought may be something was wrong with that baby and next time...I shall feel good all over and then proceed. As Kim says you know with time...all will be in your favour... I will pray for you...I will write more later....How was Pirates of the Carribean? We are thinking of it today evening. Take Care gals....I will write more. Love and Hugs.

Hi, AVi - if you read back to my earlier post we got the amnio results - all chromosones good! Healthy, perfect little boy!

Hi Avi... Glad to hear that you are doing well. Sorry about the swelling. I am sure that is very uncomfortable. Sounds like you are in good spirits though and that is good for the baby. As for me... we ran into a little bit of a problem. Docs. may have to deliver her as early as 28 wks. but that is still not definate yet. Apparently my blood pressure shoots up drastics amount every 4 wks. and all the blood tests show no reason why it should be doing that other then the fact that I have only gained 4 lbs. in the 7 months I have been pregnant. I a__sume its from all the throwing up but I can not seem to put on weight. Which oddly enough was never a problem before i got pregnant. However, now it seems to be causing some stress on her. i had a series of test on friday and got the results back today and all was normal. No gestational diabetes and all of the other ones were negative. I had to take a 24 hour urine test which was a royal pain my a__s. I filled up the whole tub... i pee so much now that its absoluely ridiculous. I get up a average of 7 times a night. I started marking it on my walls in pencil just for fun. LOL. So needless to say things around here have been a little tense with me worrying that I am not going to be able to carry full term. But should be online a lot because I am on semi bedrest. How is everything over your way. XO Kim

HI Helene, Hope you are doing well. YOu know I think I read all the big posts and that small one may be I skipped b/c I do not recall reading the test results. Anyhow, very good and congratulations. However, take gooooooood care of yourself. This the only time for us to have fun depending upon the situation. Lets pray that Kim's blood pressure returns to normal. love, avi

Hi Kim, I could not belileve what I just read, but it is better to stay calm. How have you been handling this? Take good amnt of bed rest and have good diet with I think low salt. Did they do an u/s? during u/s you can ask the baby's weight. I have gained 13 lbs uptil now. they do an u/s around 28th week also. I know the worry might be there, but pls pls take deep breaths and do some meditation....I hope your BP just remains normal. Yeah, I am doing fine, but jsut past couple of days have been tensedb due to somebody. I was trying to be very positive n all. But anyhow, other ppl's behavior should not affect me...these past two days I think I cried for all the other days. Any how, I had doc's appt yesterday....all went fine till 5 min when he recieved some call and told us to repeat all the blood work except for diabetes and rheumatoid arth and come back on Aug 1st. I was kind of cheesed off b/c I wanted to ask him about my wrists b/c small things like pulling up my pants and all hurts b/c we use our thumbs and questions about thyroid...my heartbeat is coming upto 112 bpm. so anyhow....it is just i am fine, but feel very anxious. You know I will pray for you and the baby....now that I have seen you...I can pray even more easily...I still have to show my DH ...he has been so busy....lots of love and take good care. try to lie more on the left side although it becomes hard for me sometimes also. u know when you go to the restroom do you pee a lot...I go often these days, but sometimes it doesn't pa__s fully. I think it is b/c of our uterus being expanding and putting pressure on the bladder. hugs.

HI M2, How are you doing? Just thinking on and off about you, you know. One of mine good friend is also going thru this...I had named my little one when I m/ced Joshua and thought may be he is in the better hands of God. Somehow, I felt that that time it was a boy and this time a girl.

vegan_lalaland - July 14

I had a progst reading of 8 when i was pregnant a 8 weeks last may, needless to say the progesterone worked great and now my healthy little girl is 7 months old.

sanjavi77 - July 14

Hi Kim, Just wondering how you are doing? Nothing much to say b/c did not hear anything, but I do think about you on and off. I have developed some rashes on my b___st, stomach, legs, arms and back. Itching horribly, but went to the doc yesterday...been prescribed steroid ad told Claritin to take. love.

knpandrews - July 14

Hi Avi... I am ok. I had a doc. appt. yesterday but the visit was not that great. My pressure went up to 130/100 and i lost 1 lb. that now makes my total weight gain 3 lbs. Doctors are not to pleased with what they are seeing. However, they want me to go for a 28 wk. sonogram to measure baby. All tests came back negitive. No gestational diabetes, nothing wrong with my kidneys, hormones normal, thyroid normal... so docs are stumped. Because all tests are fine and yet my pressure keeps going up and I wont take blood pressure meds because I know the only reason i have it is because it runs in my family. I never had it before i got pregnant. I know about the itching, trust me... its bad for me some nights. Baby girls moves around ALOT. But I am concerned because my stomach has not popped out yet. Just feel like a fat load. No prego belly except on the bottom. Other then the itching and swelling how are you feeling??? Hope all is well. Let me know how things are??? XOXO

sanjavi77 - July 15

HI Kim, do you have headaches with high BP also? take lots of rest. so doesn't prescribe any med either? till thenjust do deep breathing exercising. also, milk. banana, beans...help maintain our normal BP. yes, u/s 28 week is good idea, but I think they should have scheduled it sooner. Next week is it 27th or 28th week for us? good that ohter tests came out negative. however, what caused your wt. to drop one lb? are u having constipation also? how are yu managing food and all? my rash has increased a lot especially b___sts and arms. it is like small small red patches. I wonder what caused them...I am taking claritin and temovate...I am scared to take these meds, but don't want it to progress. there is some tiredness and I feel week from couple of days. constipation and swelling are my friends now. one of my friends told me to drink barley water...it acts like diuretic. but my hands....in the morning I just wanna chop them. I can't do some minor stuff, but wyen I think about you...all t his is nothing. take care and all the best. how many times do you feel the baby move in the day time....are you counting? I am not counting, but all the time baby is notmoving. rest I will write later. love.

Helene - July 16

Hi, ladies! I have been away for the week visiting my parents and just got backa nd read your posts. Kim - I hope everything is okay! I am kind of confused, though - hwy won't you take the blood pressure medicine? Everything I have ever read said that it is not only okay to take HBP meds but very important that you dod. I have a friend on the other thread who has HBP and has had several issues with it giving her problems during this pregnanyc (she is about 31 weks, I think) and she has ben taking HBP meds to keep itunder control. Her baby is doing well with no indications of any abnormalities - very healthy actually). Also, I havea friedn whoses son is goign ot be 2 at the end of September. She was put on bed rest at the end of July because she, too was not gaining weight. She had the gestational daibetes, however which you don't. She did say that she was very il throuought the entire pregnancy and although she took the prescribed zofrana few tiems, it never helped her, so she stopped taking it as she was still getting sick (couldn't brush her teeth with toothpaste for the whole pregnanyc because every brand she tried made her vomit so she used water and floss a lot). Anyway, she did the bed rest thing and gained some weight. When she finallygave birth it runed out the cord had wrapped itslef twice around her son's neck. So, I guess this decreased the flow of everything to him, which is why she had to decrease her activity so that he would get more of what she consumed plus, I guess it took some presure of the cord, but they couldn't tell any of this tathe time as the u/s did not show it. ANywya, bottom line is he is now a very healthy, intelligent, adorable, normal 20 month-old with no issues. I am not at all implying that you have the same situation (cord issue) - just want to let you know about someone who had a similar situation and went full-term and the baby was perfectly fine. So do the bed rest and see if that helps. Honestly, I would also take the bp meds to be safe. et us know how everythin goes, I am saying lots of prayers for you and your little girl that the bed rest allows you to go furtherr than 28 weeks (maybe at least 35). Take care and try to relax (yeah, I know, easier said than done!). This little girl has lots of people praying and sending good thought her way!

Okay, sorry for all those typos Kim,I hope you can read that post. AVi - my friend just e-mailed me the other day a tip for swelling. She said to eat asparagus to help feet swelling and said that a few of her friends who tried it said it worked. So it may be worth a shot. Don't know if you even like asparagus. Actually, some natural diaretics are cranberries (juice tastes best). I think onions are, too, but don't quote me. Maybe a nice French onion soup - I have good recipe for one if you want it. My writs was hurting really badly one night this past week and I thought of you. I had problems with carpel tunnel years ago when I worked in customer service and spent my whole day on the compuyer, but haven't since i started teaching (only random issues her and there).

M2 - how are you doing these days?

sanjavi77 - July 19

Hi Kim, Helene and M2, How are all of you doing? Kim, I keep thinking about you. Just wishing all the best and wondering if you got your u/s done? HELENE, how are you doing? How was your vacation? Are you thinking about the names? How is yur health? Mine over all is good. I have started to compromise with constipation and hands, although the numbness is too much. The rashes that I got is called PUPP, women sometimes get it in their 7th month, either they stay or go away for sure after delivery. It is not painful but just itching in summer is awfull. Anyhow, whatever now...as long as the baby is happy and healthy. Well, M2how are you doing? rest later, avi.

Helene - July 20

Avi - that rash sounds lousy, and I agree about itchng being worse in summer. I had a nice time down at my parents'house although I did feel sick here and there. Yesterday the m/s back in full force - I threw up- and today it was pretty bad when i woke up, although I think I may have eaten soon enough to keep from puking today. I think it is just my bad luck to be having this pretty much on and off throughout. AT leats I am no constipated these days, although it is harder to pa__s thngs. M2- How are you feeling? I have been wonderin how you are doing. Kim - Have you been back to the doc yet? How are you feeling? I hope all is well and that the bed rest helps you to carry your litle girl for as long as possible.
