HI Kim and Helene, How are you? Kim you and the little one are in my prayers. How is your BP now? aRe you on any medication? I don't understand, throwing up till last trimester...just not fair. HOw are the movements going on for both of y ou? Kim are you counting yours? Helene, how are you doing? I read about your u/s. It just made me smile...good luck. have you thought about his name yet? which week are you in now? 20th ? Kim and I are in week 28. Kim good luck with your u/s. You know CA has such heat wave....my rash and itching is just out of my control. since few days whole night I just dance around. it is so hard and annyoing. arms/ legs/ bums/ espeically brests. the doc had prescribed Temovate two weeks age, but it says that even low dosage administration gives teratogenic effects?? so I am so confused. but last night I took Benadryl. Cooking is worst wiht the heat, but going out is a no no during day time. anyhow, any advise for the itching...I am having terrible headaches also, but b/c if itching I am not able to sleep. I hope nobody gets it. Rest is fine...Take care gals.

Thanks everyone for your responses. I have found that the spotting is just before I take the next dose of prometrium. It's so light I only see it on the tissue. I saw in another posting that someone else was having this and their doc told them that sometimes Prometrium can irritate your cervix. I did my little freak out thing, but I am just going to leave it up to God on this one. It seems like that is the only way not to pull my hair out. I called the Doc to find my results, but they won't have them until Friday. One of my best friends is 7 months and I call her a lot, but I haven't really told any else that I am pregnant since the last one was so hard after losing it. I appreciate you all and I wish you the best.

Avi - Is there soemting topical they can give you to at least relieve the itching, like hydrocortisone? Yeah, it has been hot here in NY, to so I stay inside a lot because i am not tolerating heat that well these days. California must be awful these days with that heat wave. I am still nauseous in the mornings, and today is a lousy morning. Actually I was up going to the bathroom about 4 times last night and because i was up so late I could feel a lot of nausea so i I knew this would not be a good morning. DOc called to say that I need a second u/s to see the baby's heart and some limbs that couldn't be seen clearly on the last u/s which the tech had basically already told me. I told the doc that I am having a shot of orange juice right before this one so the little guy is awake for a change! He sleeps through every u/s, the little schnook! Which is why the tech couldn't get pics of his heart and the pics of some of his limbs are unclear. Weesa59 - Just alittle warning that I wish someone would have told me - when I took progesterone I got this salmon-colored residue that looked like spitb___s and I freaked out thinking it was tissue, but it is not. So if you should get that, don't freak out, it is normal. It can also be white. I called the doc at about 7 am on a Saturday because of it. LOL! Kim- any news yet?

hi ... please help me ... I just found out I´m pg 4w5d and had some crampings and was super freaked cause I had a m/c in Dec ... I had some test done and my dr send me progesterone pills 100mg e/ 6 hours ... is any of you taking this much ???? is it a lot ??? thanks

hi weesa59, i understand your feeling. I can tell you that i started my prometion last monday. I found blod in my TP twice. I feel cramps, but they are not painfull is just disconfrot. Feel my baldder fullat all the times. I am curious to know about the results of yopur blod test. What they said? I will have my next appoiment on monday, with ultrasound and the results of blod test on tuesday. Did prometrium help to increase your values?? I hope everything is going weel with you.

Andy, i am taking prometrium v____ally. I know that your liver will destroy the 80% of the prometrium that you have via oral. The cramps that i feel are more disconfort than pain, but everybody is different. I know that c___pms are side effects of taking prometrium. They say that is normal. Relax and wait until your next appoiment. Ask your doctor for progesterone values and for your hCG. Good look and keep in touch.

I also took the progesterone v____ally - prochieve 8%.

Hey zay. I haven't received the test results yet. I spoke to the nurse on Friday and it turns out my insurance sends it to some slow lab that takes a while. She called me back to say they came in Friday afternoon, but the doc would have to review and then call me back. In the meantime, I went ahead and did another home test and it was way more dark than the first time. I still have all of the same symptoms, but the spotting stopped on Wednesday. I haven't seen it since. I do have minor cramping, but that is normal too. As long as the cramping doesn't come with bleeding - more bleeding that you and I have, we should be fine. I just watched "Birth Day" on TLC and a 39 y/o woman gave birth after 2 m/c. Her doc put her on the progesterone for the same reason as all of us. I have heard a lot of success stories, so for now, I am just going to enjoy being pregnant and hope that I am just as lucky. I hope you are too. As for the dose, I am taking 400mg/day with food (food helps absorbtion). I will ask my doc about taking it v____ally when I see her. Take care and good luck!

Just a thought - ar the crampsyou mention sort of pms like - as if you might be gettin your period soon? Those are very common in early pregnancy and also later on when your uterus is stretchgin. I had those in the beginning and on and off throughout this pregnancy.

Helene, The cramps feel like muscle cramps. Kind of like I stretched too far to reach something. Does that make sense? Nothing severe.

Hi Ladies... Been a long few days of getting things in order. But now I am on complete bed rest until he decides to deliver baby girl. I went for the start of the monthly check ups and she is getting so big. She is was measuring right on target at 28 wk. 2 days. Now she should be measuring 28 wks. 6 days. But at the time of measuring she was weighing in at 2 lbs. 10 oz. which the doc. says is very good. However, he is just not happy about the lack of weight gain or the high blood pressure. I put on a 1/2 of lb. and my pressure shot up to 140/100. So he has me on complete bed rest for the remainder of my pregnancy and on high blood pressure meds. I am on Procardia. 1 X daily. I have not heard much about it but the doc. says it is completely safe to take. Avi, How are you doing? How is the Pupp? Did you try aveeno oatmeal bath or the aveeno cream. I know what you mean about the itching at night, my skin is so itchy when I am trying to go to sleep? Any luck with the constipation or has it become a pretty normal thing? When is your next appt. I have another one this coming wed. He has started me on 1 wk. visits. Helene, How are things with you? I read in your last post that you live in NY!!! Where abouts? How are you feeling? I know it is easier said then done but we have all been through it and we are all far along. Your chance increase with every week you go on and remember each day it gives you a better chance as well. Try not to stress... things will work out. Prometrium is a pretty common drug and alot of women have great success with it.

I went to the doctor today, everything is fine and i see the hart beats in the screen. The doctor schedule a test called first trimester screening and NT test. Do anybody knows what is this test for? And what they do?? I am offiially 7 weeks and knpandrews is right when she said : ' each day it gives you a better chance " ...

Weesa59 - I had pms-like cramps in the beginning. They say that you get round ligament pain in the second trimester - where the pains are more liek a st_tch in your side, and sometimes moving a certina way or sneezin can bring them on - but I got mine earlier - I fprget when, but near end of 1st trimester - like 8-10 weeks. In the beginning when i felt things i kept telling myself, as long as it is not deep in my belly I am not going to worry. Zay - Congrats on the heartbeat! That is one milestone down! Take it each milestone at a time! Kim - I have been felin the little guy move around a lot, but not as much theses past few days. Some daysa he kicks more and strongerthan others. Mostkly he kicks at night or early in the morning (ah, he must have "heard"me typing this because he gave a small flutter kick - that kind that fels like your muscle just spasmed!). I have a friend on the other link who has been bp meds the whole pregnanyc (hers was high before she got pregnant although I don't think she took meds for it, and it runs in her family). Anyway, I asked her what she takes, although she is in Australia, so different meds might be comon there. SHe is ogign on for some tst because her bp is up to 150 although she is fine (she is 34 weeks but is measuring at 37 weeks - history of big babies in her family). Thta is good hat baby girl si measuring well - it is probably you who is not gaiing weight throughout all this. GOod luck with the bed rest. Does the doc have a "target" that he wants you to make it to - how many weeks? Yes, I live in NY - I am in the northern suburbs about an hour and 15 mins north of NYC. My family is originally from the city and I was born there, but grew up about 30 mins from it. My parents live in NC but trust me, they still sound like New Yawkers! My dad talks like Archie Bunker (says earl insetad of oil and all that!). Take care!

Helene, Thanks for the note. I stopped spotting over the weekend, and then started again yesterday. It's still faint and not a__sociated with cramps. My doc had me come in for another blood test to make sure the Prometrium is doing its job. My first results were fine for 4 weeks at 100hcg and 14prog. I just started the 6th week and my first appointment will be at the end of the 7th. I am hoping they can do an u/s then to see things are going well. Zay - I am glad everything is going well for you. It gives me more hope and helps me not to worry so much about the spotting. KNP, I'll keep you in my prayers. God Bless you all.

Hi Everybody, Howz it going for all of you? am so glad we have this going on to share our feelings. It really helps you know. first for Kim, whenever I pray for myself I pray for you and the little one my dear. Everyday I pray that your baby be born in the 10th month beginning b/c pregnancy actually goes a bit beyond 9 months or so. Or it depends how we count. I was watching TV and yes 130/100 was mentioned serious, but even with the meds it shot upto 400? I am really happy for your baby that she weighs about 2lbs and 10ounces. I also went and my dear one weighed 2lbs and 6 ounces at 28 weeks, which the tech said is perfect. The baby had his/her hand on the forehead. I got the pic profile. As for my itching...it is no where except from my b___t, thighs, legs and arms. Breast I can handle somewhat. Oatemeal did not work, but I bought Eucerin and I did apply the st eroid cream which doc prescribed. I really felt like jumping out of the window, so I applied. bit relieved. I had docs appt also, all is well, just low on hemoglobin and it is common in the last trimester. HELENE, how are you doing? Good to know about the kicks. How are you sleeping and all? What about your ms? KIm, what about your nausea? How about sleeping at night? Mine is like 5-6 hours. Sometimes while sleeping I feel short of breath, so I have piled up lots of pillows. What about lamaze cla__ses? so you can't attend anymore? I and my DH went for our first cla__s this past Sunday. It is ok ok, just want to be prepared for the delivery, but the instructer seems to be so lazy. Anyhow. take care. Zay28 & Weesa59, how are you doing now? Zay28 good to know about the heartbeat. did you ask how many beats per min it was. Initially my baby's heartbeat was 160 now it is 133 b/c of the size. 120 to 170 is the normal range. Weesa59, just hang in there. I also had the pms like cramps thru out the first trimester and in second trimesters especially in the 18th week, I was visiting Canada and I had terrible pain which was rounding ligaments pain. Every persons body is different and sometimes it has its own way of preparing for pregnancy. God bless ad take care.
