Can There Be A False Positive

Last night I took a test and it was positive; however the next morning as soon as i woke up i took it again and it was negative. what does that mean?

If you have gotten a positive on any pregnancy test then you should go to the doctor. HPT's come up positive if there is a certain amount of the HCG hormone in the urine. The only way it could be positive is if the hormone is present, the only way it could be present is if you are pregnant. There are some exceptions to this. 1)If you are taking some sort of Hormone pills. 2) Possible Miscarriage or ectopic pregnancy. Basically, you really need to call your Gyn and let him/her know what is going on. They can get you a blood test which is usually more acurate that the urine tests.

I've always been told that if a HPT comes up positive, it is never wrong. It can only be inaccurate if it has a negative result. Most everyone that I know, has taken the test at least 3 times with a positive result and had a baby.
