My cycle has always been very erratic. I would skip a month here and there, sometimes 3 or 4 months at a time. There would be periods of time when my cycle would be like clock work. I was wondering could these problems be our difficulty in conceiving? Help me if you can.

Yes, if you are not always regular with your period it could mean a number of things. A lot of the time, if you miss a period all together, you are not ovulating. Being irregular is difficult because you are ovulating at different times in your cycle each month. The best thing I would tell you to do is start charting your basal body temp to see when you are ovulating. Also, there are two other methods, cervical mucus changes and cervix positioning changes, that tell you whether or not you have ovulated. If you do a search on the internet like "signs of fertility" you should get a ton of information on how to pin point when you ovulate. This way you have a much better chance of conceiving. Good Luck!
