Having Bleeding While Pregnant

I am 3 months pregnant for sure and it is about the same time in the month that I would get my period,and I am having bleeding more then spotting. My dr. said it is fine
right now just to relax but I am still worried. Is it normal to have bleeding during your pregnancy? Or should I have see another doctor?
