Please Help Could I Still Be Pregnant

I have been off the pill for 1 month and my period is over a week late, but i have had two negative pregnancy tests. It has never been late before. Is there no chance I am pregnant since the last test was 8 days after my period was due?

I've heard that it is quite common for women to have irregular periods after going off the pill. It may take a while for you to have a period. Some women don't have a period for 3 months or more. If you are concerned about it, I suggest seeing your doctor.

When I went off the pill, my periods were very irregular. It has taken almost 4 months for my period to regulate. It is very possible that you could be pregnant, however. It takes at least 2 weeks after conception for any over-the-counter preg. test to pick up the HCG preg. hormone in your urine. I would wait to test again, and if it is still negative, than you probably are just not regular yet. Good Luck!
