Pregnant Or Not 6

I last had my period on the 21st of Feb. So today is the 36th day of my cycle and still no period. My cycle is regularly 28-30 days. In the 16 years since I've had my period I have never once missed one or been off by very many days, even when I was extremely stressed or sick. So since yesterday was about a week after I should have started, I took a home test in the morning, the results were a clear negative. I'm not trying to conceive so I was a bit relieved but I've heard that it could still be possible I am actually pregnant. Sometime early last week or maybe a couple days before that, my nipples were VERY sore for about 4 days, which isn't usual for me, usually my br___ts get sore a week or so before my period but not just my nipples but I figured it was just another little weird thing having to do with hormones related to my period. And then (sorry if this is TMI) a few days later when I was cleaning up after my BF and I had s_x, I noticed a little tiny bit of pink. I just though oh, okay, going to start my period tomorrow or so. Then when I was only a couple days where I might have been late I started actually thinking about it and worrying and then realized I had broken out a little a few days before so I again told myself nah, I got pretty much all the pre-period symptoms even if the br___t soreness was a little off. But now here I am day 36 and still no period and that one negative test isn't helping me rest easier =/ I know that stressing and or thinking too much about it can cause a cycle to be off, can cause ovulation to be late but at that time I wasn't even thinking about it or stressing and I've never heard of the cycle after ovulation to take so much longer than normal? But now every little twinge I feel makes me think oh! cramps starting. But then it's really only a twinge and I have to wonder if it's just in my head I felt anything, lol.

I guess my topic question was a little off, I'm not actually looking for anyone to be able to tell me if I'm pregnant or not. Just what kind of chance there is that a week after an expected period a test would give a negative result if that isn't the case. My mom told me to wait a week and take another test. If that one says negative then the chances are very, very low that I would actually be pregnant, right? Then I'd just need to go in to see what the heck is going on making my cycle so irregular?

Your mom is spot on! No unusual fatigue, more peeing, appet_te or smell changes, emotions? My usual advice is not to give up hope until testing negative when two weeks late, then start thinking about other possibilites. GL!
