My Husband Wants To Convieve But He Is Scared

My hustband and I are a wonderful couple. We get along very well and really balance each other out. We have been married for almost a year and are have been talking about conception for about 6 or 7 months. He decided that he wanted to start to try to concievce in December, but when December rolled around, he lost his nerve. He was previously married and has a child (4yr old boy) that lives on the other side of the country. We rarely see him and it is very hard on my husband to miss his son. His son was concieved out of trickery from his ex-wife (she stopped taking her birth control and lied because she wanted a baby), but once she was pregnant, he did what he saw as right and asked for her hand in marriage. He completely committed himself to a family, only to be cheated on. His heart was broken and a couple years later, he and I got together. Now, he is afraid of conception. I am a very loving woman and will stand by his side through anything, but I was wondering is there was any advice as to how I might be able to help set his nerves at ease. I am 23 and want to be a young mother. Our financial situation is great and we both WANT a baby, he is just scared.
