Tahlia's Mama - September 15

Tahlia is being baptised on October 30th, and I'm not really sure of what I'm supposed to do??? There is no rehearsal or classes. We just show up on the day (its not in our local church, its where my partner was baptised). What happens next? Do you throw a party or something? Sorry if I sound stupid, but I really have no idea...??

You can do whatever you want afterwards! I had a party in my community clubhouse and we did our own cooking. You can just go to dinner with the godparents and maybe the grandparents if you wanted to keep it small.

in my family baptisms are big I sewed my daughters baptism gown out of lefter fabric from my wedding dress (it turned out beutiful) The curch she was baptised at reserves pews for family and friends. The pastor gave us a paper of what we were supossed to say and what her god parants were supposed to say. Then we had a party in the "club room" in the downstairs of the curch we made our own food and my godmother made a beutiful cake and my daoughter got lots of gifts too some cloths lefterover diapers from my cousins babys (thoose babies are 4 and 7 mos. older) which they had out grown a few books and cds and money which I put into a savings account for her. we had a great time just visiting of couse we had to set up and clean up ourselves but youd have to do that no matter where you had a party.

We had a gathering afterwards at my parents house, all the family came and they also braught little gifts for them. It wasnt like a baby shower but it was nice. and we got to spend tmw with the family and they got to see the baby.
